  1. yeah you got to give the supplements balanced,as they can cancell each other out, also b carefull some supplements dont work with some foods,i find mostly they make a big difference with next day recovery,no stiffness etc.surelly what helps greyhounds will help lurchers.
  2. myself,im a firm believer in giving dogs supplements when being worked hard, even if its to help long nights lamping,a hard days coursing or given to help muscle recovery the next day.i know of people who think its a waste of money.allso i always give supplements to puppys being weaned to try to make muscle and bones stronger, just wondering what you lot think
  3. excellent pics, what part of the country are you hunting
  4. shame to hear that,a young lads dog run into a tree whilst we were out not so long back,we burried it there where it dropped, poor bugger cried his eyes out,and i had a massive lump in my throat, whishing him good luck with the future cos its the young ones that are needed for the future of hunting
  5. Shes bred out of coursing stuff, sire is a dog called captain the mother was a 5/8 greyhound,2/8 saluki,1/8 deerhound, the mother was well bred, out of waterloo cup winners etc

  10. what lamps do you boys prefer to use, and do you use filters. myself,i always use the blitze with a red filter even when rabbiting. For hares and deer i think the blitze is untouchable.i also find that when out lamping with mates that are using the smaller version the blitze will pick up a distant fox that is creeping along the end of the field.
  11. nice to see you boys took a bit of quality out with you for a change, just be carefull with them cos theyve only just turned 6 months.they both look big buggers, like my two.hope they give you some good hunting in the future.i'll be up next week for a few jars.
  12. i would agree,i like my dogs big,got to be a least 25",my bitch is 27" and she is a very good rabbit catcher, gets down very well for a big bitch,my two pups are 6 months old,the dog is 25 1/2" and the bitch is 24",so they gonna be big fast pups, fingers crossed any way.
  13. good bag for the pups, heared there was hundreds up there,us boys might be up next time the moon goes down, should take a very good bag with the older dogs. hows your pup, keeping out of trouble i hope.

  19. I might be breeding some russell x patterdale pups, the thing is ive seen a lot of both breeds work, but ive never actually seen a russell x patt work,or heard alot about them, just after some comments on these types please lads.

  21. the first time i ran my bitch on a lamped hare,my mates bull x pulled of the lead, and knocked her for six, even when lamping with someone, the other dog could be on a lead and she is still nervous, untill shes confident she running on her own she wont run,but then when she does run,she dont miss alot.she's fine now thank god and running well.

    Lamping

you must have a understanding with your lamping team,we usually travell a few hours a time to go lamping,so usually theres three of us,you must know the way each other thinks, and have signals for each other, especially if your after the big stuff, and poaching.
  23. well said lads,i hope nobody packs it in,i know me and my mates are going to carry on doing exactly as we did last year, coursing, digging, lamping foxes.Ive spent to much time and effort with the dogs, not to mention how much money ive spent over the years on food, vet bills kennels etc.keep huntig lads, dont give up and FxxK THE BAN !!!
