    Reading the posts on here, working terriers that suffer from fits, and strokes and sadly pass away seems to be relatively common. I was wondering if this is something that could be hereditery, and as worker to worker mating is preferable, does this perpetuate the illness. Could there be a medical problem that goes un-noticed by terriermen? My sympathy lies with any people that have lost a dog lately, no wish to cause any offence. Or is it just that the tykes give their all underground?

    What would be your best 3 course meal of all time? For me its got to be Classic prawn/crayfish salad, followed by slow roasted belly of pork with mashed root veg and spicy red cabbage, and then creme brulee for pud! . Whats yours?

    Thats what ridgebacks are bred for, show or not. There are plenty of show lakelands and russells, doesnt mean they are no longer workers as a breed

    Just fed up with the lack of info for the people watching about the important rural matters, and the fact that this country cant feed itself. The general public is becoming more and more detached from where there food comes from, and how the countryside actually works

    If they want to get involved fair play, no-one is saying they shouldnt. Its when the mighty PC BBC infer that us country folk are inherent racists, and the numbers of ethnic people using the countryside is not living up to all embracing modern government targets!

    Started watching towniefile this evening, and couldnt believe my ears. They had a special report about how the country people and countryside are letting the diverse ethnic community down. They are not making it easy enough for all those non english speaking, and city living people to use our countrside, the numbers arnt looking pc enough! Why do i pay the bbc to waste my money! What about farming and food????

    She has tried a couple of times in the past, but i called her back (on my own, no phone, no spade, unsure who was at home). To be fair, she was never walked round, and encouraged to check earths, as had very little experience (either of us).

    She is 4. Got her as a pup with the intention of working her, but only just got time to start trying her now. Life has a habit of keeping you busy

    Started beating at a local shoot recently (hoping to pick up a bit more permission), and one of the lads there suggested i bring my little patt along to join in flushing the birds and foxes. As she has yet to do any earth work, would it be a disadvantage to encourage her to hunt on away chasing pheasants, rabbits and game above ground, when she should be more concerned with using her nose tracking down charlie, and whats going on under the sod? Would this distract, confuse her intended job? thoughts please gents

    My mate just got back from holiday in Thailand, and came so close to sleeping with a ladyboy. He said it looked like a lady, walked like a lady, talked like a lady, kissed like a lady. But said when she drove him back to her place and reversed her car into a space first time, that he thought "hang on......"

    The missus phoned me today and said, "you had better come to the hospital, my mother hasnt got long to live, she could be dead by sunday". "but spurs are playing Arsenal" i replied. She said "record it and watch it later!". You should have seen her face when i turned up to the hospital with a camcorder and tripod!
