  1. Crackin wee whippet that 1 of yours is mate. She's the spit of mine. What's her breeding?
  2. Small shivery timid whippet!!! Surely you knew that ffs??? :^/
  3. Bunch of f****n fannies thinkin they rule the roads!!! Done the right thing in driving over the c**ts...pity he didn't take out more of them!!! Did the bloke in the car get a kickin? The footage I saw ended with 1 of them smashin the window with his helmet!!!
  4. Excellent mate. Good feeling when you're wee dog does well
  5. As above in as new condition. There's not a mark on this scope. I bought and only used it a couple of times on the shooting range. I have a Panorama and a Hawke Sport so no need for it now and it's too good a scope to be sitting in a box in the cupboard. Fully boxed. £55+ insured delivery cost. Cheers.
  6. Good points mate...cheers for that. I have been thinkin about it a lot today and I certainly don't want to burn him out or put him off as he's not long turned 2. Thinkin about it...sometimes few and far between can be as good or better than too many. I'll just need to be aware of how he reacts. I can mix it up as there's loads of places I know of where he has to work hard for only a handful.
  7. Cheers mate. They're fantastic wee dogs to watch. Just when you think a rabbit has got away they're right on its arse again. Their take off speed and turning is magic to watch. He's my 1st running dog and to watch them chase a rabbit all over the place, back flip with it in its mouth, retrieve it from 100+ yards away through fences and burns and drop it at you feet still alive is magic. Loved every minute. I'm hoping his stamina will get better now that can work him harder. sounds a good little dog mate. hes got good stamina now by the seems of it and it will improve some aswell. Aye should

  9. Cheers. Amazing to see the wee dog do so well. He was mad for them and gave 100% doin some suicidal stuff. A few close 1's with rabbits going down holes and him doin somersaults and rollin all over the place when he grabbed them. I can now see why some dogs snap their necks and get bad injuries. After about 20'ish I could see him picking his runs which was a shock to see as he'll run at anythin no matter how far. It was all fast and furious and he was all over the place with them in a short space of time which was definitely the hardest shift he's had so it's understandable why he was knackere
  10. Not really mate. If you do enough searchin, it's all there. If you're gonna get into air rifles then you need to know where you stand imho. thees a longggggggggggggggggggg list greys lol...in the actual carrying out. originaly it was written with an understanding that could be 'interpreted' by those who know, today theres some ludacrous ermmm re interpretasions being applied, i.e. some are making a mockery of the law by interpeting what ever old thing they want to get a case done. Maybe so mate with regards to how people interpret things but at the end of the day...if they take your rifl
  11. Did they not mention a black or darker strain of fox on that programme that was on last year about urban foxes? It might have been elsewhere I seen it but I'm sure there's a certain strain of fox that is a lot darker or has black in it's coat.

  13. Usual bullshit. The 1st couple of years of a term they shaft you with taxes...last couple of years they attempt to pull the wool over your eyes and hit you with the big hitters...fuel tax, immigration etc!!! Just watched Osborne on the news. He couldn't even read the autocue properly. Might have been something to do with the silver spoon up his arse!!!
  14. Aye mate. Worth trying them through your rifle. I'm sure they're the lightest "commercially available". Keeps you right
  15. Again mate...it's not their responsability...it's the responsability of the individual to make sure they keep within the law...as with any law. As for your rifle going over with a different pellet but of similar weight. Sounds as thought the tighter pellet is leaving the barrel slower than the slacker pellet...hence the reading. A pellet at 14.5gr is in the middle of the weight range for most .22 pellets so if yours is running at 11.4 with that weight of pellet then i would lower the power as there are several pellets that could take your rifle over. I don't know much about ballistics
  16. It's not really a grey area at all mate. To the best of my knowledge the law can use any commercially available pellet to test your rifle and if it goes over with any then you're done. RWS Hobbys at 11.5gr are the lightest in .22 i think so if you're going over with a pellet at 14.5gr then a pellet at 11.5gr should in theory take you well over. Its your responsability, no one elses. Set it at 11.5FPE with RWS Hobbys and you should be fine Have a look on a site like the BASC. All the laws and info should be on there
  17. Aye mate. It's top ground. Ye could be in 1 gully running a few and 50 yards away in the next gully they don't even know you're there and it's like that for miles. I never even scratched the suface of the ground that's there. Also, there's no trees or bushes so all the warrens are out in the open. I've never seen anything like it. There's a long hillside about 200 yards long and maybe 30 yards high. I went over the top, flicked the lamp on and there was hundreds of the f*****g things. It was like mass exodus as they headed for the warren on the hillside which had hundreds of holes. He managed

  19. Took the wee whippet out for a shine last night on a new bit of ground i've got. I had a look at it last week and there's so much ground and thousands of rabbits on it. On most of the areas it was impossible to send the dog down the beam as there were just too many rabbits. It's all open fields but full of small hills and gullys and every time i went over a hill there were loads more in the gullys with warrens everywhere. Evereywhere i scanned with the beam was just heavin with them. Managed to give him a few slips and he managed 9 heathly bunnies. So went back last night for a better
  20. I had the same problem with a young jill last season, f****n about the hole. If you've got workers for this season then leave the young Jill til next season. Worked for me ;-)
  21. Aye mate...mine holding up so far. Checked the connections I re-soldered a few times and seems fine...time will tell ;-)
  22. Still a bit early Joe is it not? Doesn't usually pick up til Oct. Unless the Grilse have been poor.
  23. solder is no good always use block connecters so if it breaks you can fix it Connector block doesn't fit inside the handle or the male fag lighter and won't connect the wires to the fittings in either. As for being no good...must've been my imagination!!!
  24. Stripped mine out and re-soldered the connections. Seems fine so far ;-)
  25. I'm not gonny mention where it is on an open forum but I'm sure MOO could sort you out. A bit expensive just now though!
