  1. Hello to all you fert officianados. My ferrets are in tip top nick at the moment bit all seem to be losing hair from their tails. I have checked them for mites and other parasites but nothing, any suggestions. thanks a bunch Onelesscharlie
  2. Hi All If youre looking for a bargain semi-auto and were going to wander up and down gunmakers row looking for it hopefully I can save you the time and trouble. My teenage son has decided he would rather shoot clays than foxes and wants an over/under instead of a semi auto, so his Escort is up for grabs for £200 cash. It is in good nick, has hardly been used and comes complete with original box, chokes and instruction book. I will be on stand a16 (next to the CLA) on gun makers row all weekend. Thanks for looking Onelesscharlie
  3. Hiya Mate Nice piece of kit, hope it does the job for you. If you're interested i have a new batch of 4.5-14x50 and 6-24x50 side parallax scopes in ready for the Midland. They work very well with both the GB night vision and the Archer so should be fine with your unit as well. If you are interested let me know. best regards Onelesscharlie
  4. Hiya Mate I see that youre from South West Wales so your going to be money conscious. I may be biased because i import them but consider an SP Raptor 4.5-14x50 or 6-24x50scope. Both are 30mm tube with side adjustable parallax, high quality optics and a lifetime warranty, they both also work very well with night vision kit fitted to the back (either GB sights or Starlight nv). I have sold them to a lot of people with .17hmr and .222 or .223, i also have them on my own rifles. The clincher is that they both come under 200 quid including a set of mounts and flip up covers and they com
  5. Hiya Mate Ive got to agree with Baldie on the Burris scopes, you cant really go wrong with them but it depends on what you can afford at the end of the day. I import scopes and have tried both Burris and Leupold, both are excellent however IOR scopes from Romania are also an option and are as good if not better. If you are looking for a value for money option and im not just saying this because i sell them try the SP Raptor in either 4.5-14x50 or 6-24x50. Basic rule is get the best you can afford but it all comes down to personal preference. Whatever you choose nail them charlies.

  7. Hello Just in case your missing the little green country heres a welcome from the hillside Onelesscharlie
  8. Hi Mate Nothing wrong with them, just not as heavy duty as the harris. I also use the SP Propod on my .223 best regards Onelesscharlie
  9. Hiya Mate Nothing against the Hatsan Escort, I bought my son one last year, but they seem to be a bit like the old Leyland cars, ie you can get a good one or a bad one. I hope you got a good one, my son has shot charlies, rabbits, corvids and clays with his and it hasnt missed a beat. One thing to mention is that the Midland Gun Company 3 shot semi autos will be hitting the shops soon, these guns are in the same price bracket but may be a litle better specification wise. Whatever happens, pay particular attention to keeping the o ring seals lubricated and it should see you ok, if not
  10. Hi Frank This is a sorry tale and one seen far too often. Keep your guns, cos one day you will just fancy a quick potter after that charlie and believe me if youre pissed off with paperwork now its nothing compared to the pile of the stuff to get em back. keep the faith alive best regards Onelesscharlie

I dont know if you've considered Rocky boots as an alternative, ive had a pair for hunting for two years now and they are excellent. 13. Hiya Sorry to hear your lad had a tap because he was a bit lippy towards his peers. I wonder where he gets that from Maybe its a good lesson learnt in the long run and be assured next time he wants something mum will no doubt be first in line for that cuddle. best wished OLC
  14. Thought i would throw this one into the pot as well. I have a 4.2 litre V8 rangie running on LPG, cheap to run, low emissions, 200 plus horse power and goes just about any where off road. Spares are cheap but you may need a few. One lesscharlie
  15. Hiya Mate There nothing wrong with your logun penetrator pellets, its either pilot error or a cheap scope. Onelesscharlie
  16. Hiya All My sons just got himself a logun solo, could anyone recommend a good all round hunting pellet that suit them. Generally for rabbits, corvids and squirrels. Cheers Onelesscharlie
  17. Hiya Ditch has covered all the good bits but if you need a manual for future reference try the British Field Taget Association web site cos they have a good downloadable PDF file. and think of me when you upgrade your scope best regards Onelesscharlie

  19. Hi Guys Just after some info on the best age to neuter a hob, ive been offered a three year old is that to late. cheers matt
  20. Hi Mate Have to agree with everyone, i use a cz452 in .22 with a parker hale moderator, remingtom sub sonics and a harris bipod. For a scope i must admit i import my own range called SP Raptor and i use a 4-14x50 but any good quality scope will do the job, just get the best you can afford. .22 is great with cheap ammo but the .17hmr is awesome for longer range with 150 yard head shots easily achievable but its a long way to walk to pick em up. I know your not supposed to sell commercially but if you want a good deal on a scope just pm me regards Onelesscharlie
  21. Hi Tam Gotta be a head shot, dont know what gun your using but you need a 1" group max at 30-40 yards. Rabbits are tough little buggers if you dont drop em with a head shot they will bounce and kick into cover or down a hole. They are pests but respect em and kill em clean, 1 shot in the head and as for range, good fieldcraft should get you to within 30 yards. good luck Onelesscharlie
  22. Hiya Ditch Saw these guys at the welsh game fair, maybe they have something in their range. Fair game - game, shooting and hawking bags, they also do a good range of gun slips. 00441476 860815 contact Don Smith good luck Onelesscharlie
  23. welcome and i hope you enjoy it here
  24. Sorry to hear about your mishap. The important thing is that mum and one kit are ok, you never know what lies round the corner,. Onelesscharlie
