She is looking well dai, mate her coat is shining,looking lean Would have liked a bit more on her ,but she's picky with her food just now.trying everything and feeding every couple of hours just to make sure.

I think domestication,would have happened many many times,and stealing pups,banished individuals living alone scavenging,and the odd 'friendly' wolf would have contributed to the process along with matings with different types of wolf , and coyotes ,as well as dogs from different areas, As saluki 246 said above some wolf packs even now allow people fairly close,coupled with humans feeding them,the odd thrown bone etc you can imagine a some within a few generations Learning to trust humans.then when pups were about, being imprinted .if you look at the Iranian wolf it's very simular to pres

Get any type you fancy,just steer clear of peddlers.ask as many questions as possible,see as many litters as possible,if they won't answer or get arsey ,walk Personally I'd go for something 23-25 inch as although you want a ferreting companion now, you may in the future want other stuff from it in the future all the best in your search

Also a dogs jaw is not hinged to grind and chew they swallow their food whole if you feed them a lot of vegetable or cereal matter raw it will pass straight through,of course we cook it and it allows then to eat it,and they do fine on it,and in fact thrive but they are "mainly"meat eaters and WE supplement their diet with the above. Pretty much how cows eat grass but will eat rendered meat if we give it to them.
