    I’ve always wanted a genuine 1st x lab greyhound, looked for years but nothing came up. Then the crazy mare vacated the property we rent out and in moves a greyhound trainer, good lad with a wealth of knowledge and he sorted me a well bred greyhound bitch which I could use , I’d already sorted the lab stud then…. Covid struck ! , thefts of dogs and pups went crazy.. it put me right off. I couldn’t bare the thought of some scumbag taking something I’d waited years for.     The sight and smell of Autumn is the best time of year for me. The geese are moving I counted 11 skeins flying low over a bank the other morning, I’d have stood there with the shot gun when I was younger but not now. The young robins are starting to sing , sheps are mumering …. Love it.

    I’ve just lost 3 farms local to me, the farmers ( brothers) have had a fallout and sold the lot. There was enough land and game to keep this pup going, now I need to gain some decent perm or Gucci bear sits on the couch and becomes a lap dog. I will be heading north and knocking every door I come across. I’m very lucky to get invited out up int dales but it’s time to get some permo of my own. …. Now where is the best place to start..?

    Perhaps trev was having a bad day ?. I enjoy reading his posts and seeing the pictures, but let’s face it the dales are full of rabbits and if someone mentions a certain place … well it’s not like we ain’t heard it before.

    As long as she does as she’s told I’d take her, if nothing else it’s company for you. I wouldn’t expect a lurcher to be cast out and hunt back to you but Banting back in with you (under control)she should be ok.
