  1. I've two borders and a nine month old baby, my borders work a bit, but not 'seriously' (mice/rats and the odd rabbit) and my bitch was a pet way before she worked because I only really got into all that the past 3 years n she's 5 now. They're no bother with the bairn, if anything a bit disinterested (unless he's covered in food) which disappointed me a bit. I reckon a lot of borders can make great pets if that's how you raise them =)
  2. well done, great lot of stuff and cash there and all done by all of yours hard work and us having a great day out!! and I recognise those couple of hills behind you's, too!!
  3. I'll have to consult google over what that last one even is =/ despite his issues he's always been a tough little thing, not used to him having any problems he wasn't born with!
  4. I wondered about that, after I'd given it to him . was hoping if it's just that he's pulled something it'll ease any pain so he can go.
  5. One of my borders was oxygen deprived at birth and has a touch of brain damage, He's still a lively, game little thing, a real have a go-er, but he's been a bit quiet since last night and a bit unsure on steps etc. I dunno if he's just worn himself out (we did a good few miles yesterday and he was going full pelt with all the other dogs, or if he's hurt his back. He doesnt seem to know how to stop even when he's knackered. I'm wondering if the deerhound's ran him over when I've not has my eye on them all. It happened to my bitch last year and she needed the vetm but her tail was all limp
  6. The worst thing is I forget 10 minutes later and the dirty fecker starts trying to lick me and the kids! This. exactly this.
  7. yep one of my other borders'll eat hers and other dogs shit, dunno if it's the protein in it? it's effing awful!
  8. I've a border that'll roll on dead things, dunno why she does it, though
  9. could be colonitis/ colon problem if it's mucasy. maybe the food isn't suiting that one?
  10. DH8 9SX will get you close enough, it's only a tiny village
  11. One of my terriers has this problem and it's especially bad in the summer. He's on a steroid tablet a day and an antihistamine a day. I've found feeding him a BARF diet a great help. also washing him down in diluted hibi scrub after he gets in from the fields. you could try vaseline on the area that's bothering her before she goes out too to protect him form anything that might be causing her to itch
  12. ah great, thanks, I'll have well and truly of found my way there by then =)
