  13. Exactly, stunning birds, watching the flock in the thousands must be one of natures most beautiful sights.......... Stunning to watch the flocks, but the b*****ds are eating £22,000 worth of feed a week down the massive free range poultry farm down the road from me! Absolutely no shortage or decline in numbers of them in this part of the world, as I've been saying for years when the 'how can you hate them, they're lovely and rare' comments come up when I let my feelings be known about them on here! They've got a licence to cull 10% of the numbers there now, 3 lads walking round with roc
  14. Exactly, stunning birds, watching the flock in the thousands must be one of natures most beautiful sights.......... seen this a few times when thye where going to roost near a bridge- amazingly co-ordinated! wont be as hard on them then, hate to see a native species diappear! grey squirrels in the garden wont be so lucky though, the fenn will have to come out- had to different sightings of red squirrels about 5miles from home in the last two months ATB

  20. thats the thing the hares are sparse on my permission, so they would be very rarely if ever flown, from what ive read about the redtails there hard to get switched on and wouldnt be quick enough for corvids? i have never seen one flown so am only going on what ive read online? male harris for feather/ female for fur?
  21. as a new falconer, next year will see me get my first bird, obviously leaning very heavily towards harris hawk but 60% of my flights will be on corvids, sneaking up in the car, parking up (safely) and then slipping 30% rabbits, ferreting and general mooching the remaining 10% pheasant and hare Any ideas/ male or female?
