  1. Dont you need a licence for an air rifle (or any rifle) in northern ireland, so if your grandad lends you his without him being there im fairly sure that a law will be broken. However if you are under his supervision i am fairly sure that its fine for you to use it. As for the age old question of when to shoot rabbits, that depends on what you have been asked to do, farmers tend not to want rabbits on there crops so you will be fine shooting them all year round, but if your looking for a place to shoot rabbits with good numbers id leave them alone in the breeding / birthing seasons and

  9. For some reason all the FAC shooters i know go for center point rifles, and the airgunners go mil dot I think it might have to do with the larger variation in trajectorys .17hmr rounds hit in the center of the cross hairs no matter what you point it at (i know thats not 100% true but it does seem that way) and for air rifles you would constantly be clicking up and down with a center point so mil dot saves all that by giving you aiming markers at the end of the day i think its personal preference, i will always go mil dot as i prefer the way it looks and i find it more useful, each to t
  10. To be fair tony after watching the video.. i think its a half arsed quickly thrown together review, im not saying that in a biased way because i own an X3 Im saying that because he didnt test it with any pellets in the rifle he just dry fired it (he was shooting down into the ground so why no pellets??) he also could have done a comparison with another silencer and the same distances, just seems like it was a 'oh crap i forgot to review it quick lets go to the nearest field' ...and his voice cuts through me ATB Adam
  11. I love mine, cracking rifle, for me it shoulders and points so well which is perfect as i use it for blasting pigeons, cracking rifle just make sure you test the power as they are notorious for being tinkered with ATB Adam
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=preZ2RcR3T0&feature=g-u-u Here is a review of the X3 by that guy from countrypursuitsTV .. unfortunatly you cant listren to it with the sound off otherwise you wont hear the silencer at work.. you will just have to put up with his dulcid tones ATB Adam P.S A&M Dont make them anymore its the new Marksman which is better (good to see malc is with the times)
  13. i dunno specifically i shoot mine from 190-100 and its fine, probably about 150+ if i go below 100 then the accuracy starts to waver ATB Adam
  14. That might be the funniest thing I've heard you say rog. Haha!ATBAdam
  15. I'm not sure of any in the north area, maybe darryl 'marksman' on the forum knows where to send it, depends on the distance you want to travel ATB Adam I personally recommend A&M custom gunsmiths but might be too far, can't beat the service, quality or price though
  16. Its a very accurate tool, however its only as accurate as the data you put into it, if your muzzle velocity or pellet weight, zero range, incline etc is off then so will be the point of impact. I use it as a shooting aide, it roughly tells me where the pellet should strike, you then have to apply your knowledge of the rifle your shooting and the environment your shooting in to make adjustments. The most common errors are from the human side ATB Adam
  17. Why bother? The harper valve does a good enough job ATB Adam
  18. good shooting mate What happened to all the others? i thought those panthers found the targets and shot them for you ATB Adam
  19. Fair play, still i think you could manage it in less shots ATB Adam Edit: i had a play with chairgun i would have to shoot my S10 at a 60deg incline and still give it 6mildot holdover on 2.5 magnification ... hah might aswel be aiming at the moon
  20. Good job Si so when is VerminhuntersTV doing the 200m challenge HW97kt time to shine! ATB Adam
