  1. Hiya all, Not sure if my memory is working correctly or not because i've had a busy life . It has had such a busy time, often being stretched to almost breaking point, but thats what i get for following the path i did. I have a question for everybody, in the 1960's - 70's i think i had a Webley air-rifle which came with two barrels both a .177 and a .22. To change barrels involved just a turn of a big slotted locking device. I can't remember what the model name or number. All i can remember is that i did what is the biggest no no on break barrel guns, that is i didn't keep hold of the bar
  2. As has already been said, Well done . How big is it then?
  3. Hi Luke, Go to this site www.opticswarehouse.co.uk ATVB Roger
  4. No is my answer, reason. You know the law of the land, you already have its brother. As for the old lady liking her pigeon pie, why not make her a pigeon and rabbit pie or even go as far as to make her a pigeon 'n' rabbit casarole. Whats more warming and homely? Pigeon, rabbit and a few early vegtables from the alotment. What old lady wouldn't want that to warm the cockles of her heart. Even the old lady wouldn't want you to take that shot, because you can't get her pigeon when your sat in prison being some big blokes little "bitch"
  5. Yes you can all you need is a good engineering shop.
  6. Hi all, I have a Nite-Site 50 and remember seeing that people was suggesting a fitting to replace the Nite-Site tube. My question is does anybody know what and where i should be looking for the fitting to replace the original. Thank you for your time, many thanks. Roger
  7. As already stated , the mobile number he gave matched the number of Sammy78 who was banned when it was revealed that he was one of the scum of the earth Graham brothers . Im new to this site, so the bad feeling against Graham brothers is new to me. Can someone please fill me in to save me from first having to troll through all this site, also falling prey to them? Pretty please
  8. There is one for sale on here for £230, have a look.
  9. Rabbitwacker, Join the "Air Arms Owners Club" there are some real clever chaps on there. On there there are people who repair Air Arms and i would think someone on there will help. Will wait to meet you on the other side lol. Porkycrook aka Roger
  10. As the advert says "SMART CASUAL" but take your wellies just incase he wants to show you where you can shoot. Nothing worse than going un-prepared. I take my gun, but keep it out of sight. He may bring up about what gun to see if its up to what he wants done. Fingers crossed for you.
  11. What are you going after i.e. hunting or targets? Targets are simple, zero at range of target. Hunting, i would suggest getting used to target before going after anything living. 10 metres to start anyhow.
  12. Hello Rob, I can only speak about what i use and that is home-made sticks. My sticks are made from 6' tall garden sticks (green ones from most garden centres), I have to cut off a couple of inches as to suit my height. I then drill a hole about 6"down from top for a pivot bolt i use a 1/4" bolt. On the bolt i have put a plain washer before pushing the bolt through the cain, i then push the bolt through the first pole then a plain washer followed by a plain nut, then another plain washer followed by the other cane then the fourth plain washer and now a nyloc nut. On the part of the cain tha
  13. I have only been a member for a short while and know so few people (non in person). I gather by the send off the chap is getting he is well thought of, and i would have loved to have gone to get to know more of you . I wish the chap who is leaving all the very best in what ever he has planned.
  14. Well done Pete, now bunnies beware.
  15. Hi All, has there ever been a study on how much pressure would be needed to punture the skull of our quarry. Then the next question would be at what distance does each .177, .22 and the other sizes loose enough energy to penetrate the skulls!. Once both figures are known, then at that time we know what is the kill range, the rest is then down to ability?
  16. Buster321c, I was trying to think of a way to phrase it , because like you i believe it make a difference if only a small one. I believe that if the pellet has been washed and you have a smaller grouping, then it will lead to a higher kill rate.
  17. Welcome to a great forum with a lot of great people who has most of the answers, they got stuck when i asked them to explain the meaning of life
  18. I clean and lubricate every tin of pellets not sure if it makes a difference. But as Stevo said it depends on type on how dirty they are. Somebody on here who has shot a lot more pellets than me could possibly tell you if it makes a difference to the kill rate. Sorry i can't help any more than i have.
  19. ArchieHood, Hello we have crossed paths on another post elsewhere within this forum group. I read your post and it intrigued me as too what it meant, could you please enlighten me as too what it meant. Thankyou Roger
  20. Hello Daz 7, We haven't met yet but thought i would write a post to you. I watched your videos first thing i would like to say how much i liked it but on the second bird, i don't know if its my eyes. But i can't make out where it is and is it upside down?. Second thing i would like to congratulations on very good shooting.
  21. Hi Gravel, What the heck is a "Striker variable 170"? Sorry for my ignorence. ATVB Roger
  22. To Pink or Stink, If Si or anybody else would have posted the video request that you were after, (To the op a question; have you recorded a longe range shot where you have wounded your quarry or even missed?). If it was a miss nobody would give a flying fart about it, but if it was injured boy oh boy would that be a diffrent kettle of fish. Every anti would be jumping on the band wagon shouting that this should be banned and the shooter be burned at the stake. In this video the man who shot the pigeon at that range took into account, the perfect weather and his ability gained over years of
  23. Hi Davy, I,m so sorry for the error on my page but i meant it to cover both rifles, pistols and even the new air powered crossbows. I am totally on Si and your side, i subscribe to tour YouTube channel and am in awe of what the pair of you can do with an air rifle lol. In some ways i am glad that you live in Wiltshire and shoot around the Oxfordshire countryside because i know that i can sleep easy knowing that the pair of you are killing vermin, but in other ways i wish you weren't in MY Oxfordshire because i have to compete with you over permissions . It's a good job the county is such a si
