I don't have a 15 ft collar to try but it seems ok
To be honest it's the first one I've had in my hand so I'm not 100% and I don't want to con anybody
I know people buy them as spares aswell so it will go either way
Also it feels like the inside moves a bit
Maybe a holding screw missing?
Cheers for the info

I baught a locator box and collar in a deal with some other hunting stuff and when I turn the box on it picks the collar up fine, when I turn the dial up to above 9 on the wheel it starts crackling a lot
My question is
Is it fooked? Need recalabrating or something ?
I'm not keeping it but would like any info as I don't want to advertise it as full working order if it isn't
The collar is 8ft I believe
Cheers rc1
My 2nd gen collie/grey was the same, she could catch rabbits no problem, but wouldn't pick them up
One day she marked a rabbit and put it up
It took her up the side of a river with was all pebbles
Moral of the story
She hurt herself catching it but she picked it up and killed it
Since then she's never looked back and now she has a real good strike
Keep at it

What the man above said Jim
As you say your not getting any younger and it will be a change for you
Hope things turn out for you whatever you decide

I think so mate
She was a good hunter but I thaught she hunted more for her self than chipper and to be honest I know of a few pups out of her that have bad traits
I last seen her at wolsingham show a couple of years ago looking in fine fettle as chipper retired her to a pet home
Do you know chipper well?
I had a dog bred by chipper
I had it on gain and it was same as you describe about the red mills, sloppy
Got told to try red mills and the dog faired a lot better
I suppose it depends on the dog tho
