  1. New raider mac ? I got out with the hw100 yesterday felt gooooood
  2. I dont mind .177 or .22 they both do the same job just .177 is easier to use because of its flatter trajectory
  3. OP you going to be shooting it from 600 yards or something? A rangefinder would be better than trying to judge measurments through a scope imo. Hft fair enough you get it wrong and the metal target wont get injured.. Personally I like to try get close to squizzers myself furthest I would take a shot is about 45 - 50 yards and thats only if I really had to.
  4. Yeah looking at the pic i think it was a jackdaw guys. Same silhouette as a crow lol. Deffo not an owl shape or anything like that so i knew it was safe to take the shot. Wanted some woodpigeons really but beggars cant be choosers lol
  5. It was pretty much flat calm at 4-5 am but at 9am i think the gusts wereup to 45 mph if the wether report was correct!! And 4 inches windage at 30 yards is pretty mental haha
  6. Well woke up at 3am and looked out of the window.. the roads were dry and the trees looked pretty still.. finally a break in the weather?! Got to the permission and had to set up a taget card with a torch laid on the floor next to it to check zero . Still bang on since last time i used it .. had a creep around with the hw100 and took a crow silhouetted with a nice 25 yard headshot. Couldnt see much else so went home and had some food and waited for it to start getting light. By this time the wind had picked up again and I didnt see anything else so had a plink before calling it a day. Sho
  7. From a side on 'boiler room' shot at 30 yards with my .22 hw97 and hw100 everytime the bird just drops like a stone. Never had one fly.. not even take off. Just spread wings on the way down. And 9/10 times the pellet had gone all the way through and out of the other side. 11.1-11.4 ftlb at the muzzle using jsb exacts. Never tried with .177 Personally. Just waiting for some decent bloody weather so i can get out on the woodys myself!

  13. I missed the first 2 shots just lined them up perfect then a last second wobble both times had them running off flashing their tails laughing at me Third time lucky haha
  14. Nice one lads sounds like a good night. I went out this morning and bagged a bunny with the 97kt .22 at first light. Feels good to be out when i actually get chance.
  15. Broken spring? Should have taken a back-up rifle! Still, at least you got something
  16. Thanks boys it was a good little mooch i love shooting rabbits although they are few and far between on my permission so its a bonus just seing them let alone actually shooting one! So i was pretty buzzing afterward. Shame there was no ferals in the farmers shed seen a few about recently but they werent in there last night, luckily for them haha
  17. Nice one mac i got a rabbit tonight aswel. Good times with the .22 hw97s kicking arse eh ;D
  18. As i said previously im going to make a lot more time for shooting not saying im going to go every week or that i will always bag something but this year im deffo going to go more often
  19. Lol not really been goin for muscles been mostly losing weight. Cant really do both successfully but thats another topic for another forum. I can still carry a hw97 so my arms are big enough
  20. Your right VM.. it did take me 2 shots.. First with the gun and then another shot..with the camera!.. to get a picture for you ladies
  21. Well as i said on macs thread the other day.. a .22 97 is hard to beat Quick mooch 20 mins before dark and this bugger stopped a few yards too short of his hole. Quickly knelt down and had him in my sights instantly. The mamba lite performs flawlessly and the sight picture was like bluray quality- so i knew it was on my zero at 27/28 yards,as i quickly guestimated as soon as he stopped his run, even in the dark woods. A split second later and my scope was back on him watching him front flip away to bunny heaven. Right in the eye because the blustery wind picked up as i released the trigge
  22. .22 97 just about beats everything don't it ?! Well in on the squirrel Atvb SKoT
