Springer for £200
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Bess & Nell's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
whats right with the lighning should be your question. just got rid of an XL myself it seemed ok at first but then it was problem after problem... any weihrauch or air arms would be your best bet. hw99s is similar to lighning for weigh its nice and light and pretty small and compact. they should be about £210 brand new so you should easily get one second hand with a scope for £200 i have had 2 in the past very accurate. nice guns all the best -
when i was sat at my usual 'plinking range' the other week the magpies would always sit in one tree to my left, the woodys always in the same tree in front of me, and the crows always in a tree to the right of where i was sitting.. also,, over a period of about 6-7 weeks this has always been the case. so figure out the right tree then your sorted!! so if you know there 'favorite' tree get camo'd up n sit n wait good luck pal

just wondering .. is it legal to shoot hares with sub 12 air rifle?? any close season or owt like that?? cheers -
sorted it still needed a couple of turns up on elevation. got there in the end tho! shot a 5 shot 1 hole grouping at 20 yards. and then a 5 shot group about as big as a 2pound coin at 40 yards. with Daystate Rangemaster LI, a pellet ive never tried before. plus the gun is brand new so the groupings should tighten up a bit after its broke in. pretty chuffed with it so far still needs christening tho... just a shame that crows head was behind loads of twangy branches so i couldnt get a shot off.

i have 2 tins of aa at the min on the sticker under one tin it says 14 ... 7.9.2011 .. 4,52 s0 00 other tin 17 ... 28.07.2010 ..4,51 s0 76 im guessing this relates to batch number, date produced, head size and then some other serial number thing the picture of the pellets on front of the tin where it says diabolo field-- on the 4,52 tin looks brighter i dont know if this makes a difference but what i will say is the 4,51's had 1 out of 20 pellets (randomly picked) that was ever so slightly bent skirt.. whereas the 4,52 had 14/20 really bent ones o.O godknows -
hi just put my 40mm scope on a high one piece mount on my hw97kt i checked before i mounted it that the turret adjuster thingys were about half way. i set up a target about 20 yards and the pellets wer going low by aboout 4-5 inch. after a few turns of the turret it was going about an inch low. by now the turret was nearly at the maximum adjustment i was wondering is the scope mounted too high from the action hence the reason for all the shots going low? as you are reading this im changing the mounts over to a medium one piece to see if it will zero.. thats if the scope isnt to

JSB Exact and then about RWS Super-H-Point in an old tin but i probly wont bother with them lol then when i figure out the best ones for my rifle after its broke in il just stick to them.. regarding air arms field- i also have been using these for years and they were always one of the best but recently the quality has been really poor not just for me a lot of people on here. get quite a lot of bent skirts fro -
