  3. i,m friendly with a few of he guns and they asked me what i thought.. with my limited knowledge i can see its bad management but i,m not going to stand up at the annual meeting and say it...its surrounded by big shoots which release a lot of birds so in theory we will both lose birds over the boundarys..
  4. theres a good selection of woods and thick hedgerows....all farmed with grassland ,cereals and rape.the percentage is a lot less than 33 %...which i think is a fair amount....just got to work out where the 800 pheasants went to
  5. also put down were 1100 pheasant 350 duck what sort of returns would you expect from these?
  6. i,ve just got the figures from a shoot i,ve been beating on....it looks very poor when on a spreadsheet to all the keepers on here if you put 450 partridges down how many would you expect to shoot?
  7. put the b and w on so we can compare....well done
  8. the grounds so up and down every time we got down ...the man with the lamp had a clear view but not the man behind the gun just couldnt get a view......had one in a potato field and it kept peeping over the top of the furrows...there was four on one farm but they,d obviously been lamped before...might try a bit of baiting up
  9. i,ve been doing a bit of fox shooting ,well holding the lamp really ....my friend does the shooting .....22 hornet with a bipod ....but using the bipod is a disadvantage as your too low to the ground....what do you guys do ? are you better shooting off sticks? at the midland i saw a set of sticks ....double attached together ....did anyone else see them and have any info on them....thanks
  10. put pics 3 and 4 in as there a bit different ...ther grey on 4 is a column of smoke out of the gun and 3 i couldnt really work out what the black smudge is ....shot maybe?

  17. i was out yesterday but had too cut the trip short ..it was starting to blow a bit as we launched and it gradually got worse ....white horses everywhere...so we decided to throw the towel in.....good job as it turned out ....the tide was racing in ...blackpoool is a devil of a place for the fast in coming tide.....as we got the trailer one of the rollers fell off.....couldnt get the boat on and the surf was swamping the boat on every wave...getting deeper by the second.....we managed in the end to just secure the boat to the trailer and raced back across the sand .....try again in a few weeks
  18. a friend of mine is having problems with the grouping of the cz 527 hornet...i,ve been out a few times and i,m convinced thats its the trigger <not that i,m an expert>it seems very stiff and your not sure when it fires ,if you get my drift ....does anyone know if they can be adjusted or there is a trigger kit available ....thanks
