Emilianoksa not sure how often even davey checks in here as they are both busy running their new group on Facebook. If your on Facebook I would recommend doing a search for verminhunterstv and requesting to join and ask there.
Yeah agree lads ha ha, sometimes you just have to pay your money and take your chances, I've seen poor examples of most makes of air rifle. Ha ha, a catapult!
Personally new life I have not waxed the stock as I do not want a shiney look, more of a satin finish that pops the grain out. I've finished now and put the pro sport back together and I think she looks feckin awesome! She's really darkened a lot using this oil which is what I was hoping for and those little microscopic holes are a thing of the past as the wood has sucked up all the walnut oil goodness!
Now that looks stunning, congrats Twotwothree, you should be proud!
One question, did you sand down the stock between each coat of stain? If so did you use 0000 grade wire wool?
Phil
Timmy this stuffs working a treat, the smell is lovely and it's looking awesome. Just can't wait to put it all back together again and go shooting lol!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Matty, from a practacle point of view I wouldn't have them as my rigs used solely for hunting so they would stand out on those squizzers! Can't wait for the pics as you go.
Phil
Come on Matty get those pics of the stock stripped down online and take a few pics after each coat so we can see it taking effect! I'm eager for more!
