  1. Atleast you know your scope is bang on! Homemade condiments with milegajo!
  2. That's good that Marv, keep up the obviously excellent public relations!! i knocked a farm earlier on, walked 2 miles in me fecking shirt and trousers, carefully closed the gate, SGC in hand, ferret in box over my shoulder to show him ... he told me they've already got lads who do it and wouldn't be interested...then he went "oh wait there they've never mentioned they have shotguns...you could be handy son"...in there like swimwear sweated like a fat kid in a sweet shop like but got it!!
  3. Thing is, i live in a built up area and there are already rats with the dogs. I think the plan of action will be fence the raised beds off, and as you say Mooch move the chickens round with the rotation. Any rats can look forward to the air rifle out the back bedroom window Oh yeah, if anyone is looking for hens i've got a mate who runs an animal sanctuary type place and has loads of hens in. Just needs a small donation and they're yours. Got about 100 in at the minute, another 500 or so at another 'sanctuary'.
  4. There is land behind my house that belongs to the housing company, but to be honest around here i wouldn't want chickens in a stand alone shed, there are too many kids that love playing with fire, chucking stones or thieving!! We've got 8 raised beds in the garden for growing but it'd be nice for a few fresh eggs ... might see if i can incorporate them into the garden.
  5. Made me sick to the stomach reading about Stella, sorry for your loss there lads. Great read so far though, i've never been into falconry and i probably never will but it's interesting to see exactly how it's done.
  6. Alright no problem. She's not touched it once so it can't be itching just yet but she's gone to bed with a vaseline cover on it. Thanks.
  7. Tell me about it Marvin, been on the waiting list here coming up 2 years now and the last time i checked i was still 170 behind getting an allotment....i only want my own chickens!
  8. Cheers for the replies guys, when i got in i raided my mums medicine drawer for saline solution and washed it out, put some pressure on with a clean bandage then applied the vaseline and a bandage overnight. Changed it this morning and the bleeding has stopped and it's already going crispy as you explained skycat. Let it get some air then vaselined and taped a sock on to keep it clean whenever she goes outside. Going to keep up with the saline and using up my old socks. Thanks for the advice.
  9. Jesus christ the determination on that. Quality.
  10. couldn't have picked a nicer day for the clays!! No wind and the suns blazing at 9am. Get in.

  11. I started Monday gone mate, been grafting like hell all week just getting my head down learning the ropes. Not something i'm wanting to do forever but in the meantime it's cash. Plus i've lost 4lb already, not that i'm a fat f****r or even counting!!!
  12. shot 3 pigeons, a crow & a rabbit, turned over the veg patch and sorted the ferret...shame about me pups pad splitting.

  13. Agree with Marvin here, your local garage will have one. Should sort the problem.
  14. Am i right in thinking a bit of vaseline and a bandage for a few days then rest for 2/3 weeks will sort this problem out? Pup went out for her first ever retrieve, brought it back and her pad was split and dripping blood. Brill!!!
  15. I knew i'd forgotten to watch something. I'm guessing their idea of gundog looked like the Springer in the picture above?
  16. clays tomorrow, off to my dads permission to get some practice in.

  17. Jeeesus wept. Hell of a sporting animal! I'd love to run it with my two for a week, it wouldn't know what'd hit it the poor thing.

    Agency work??

I've worked for agencies in the past, some take the piss others aren't too bad. I've had a job where i've worked a 40 hour week and been paid £150 after tax, needless to say that didn't last long. I worked for another agency with a team and we were all on £6.15 an hour part time when everyone else was on £9/10 an hour with the company. Was a bit bitter about that to be fair considering i did the same job, the agency said if we passed our probation we'd be taken on permanently. 3 months passed, passed my probation, went to do my 'exams' to get a full time contract with the company, and passed w
  19. I agree completely, why bother bringing it to attention when it's got nowt to do with you? The builders on this estate dig out the rabbit warrens all the time to lay founds for a new house, it's less sport for me with my ferret but they are the landowners so they can do whatever they fooking want in my opinion!
  20. That rifle is quality. Very nice.
  21. Stuff like this really grates on me. The Libyans were quick to cry for help when the shit hit the fan with Gadaffi!! My great grandfather was killed fighting in Crete and his body was never flown home but burried there. How the fook my great-grandmother explained that to my then 4/5 year old grandmother and her sisters, i will never know.
  22. To stop the pups being crushed.
  23. I wonder how much an impact would add to the value of Stoke?
  24. Here you go lads. Didn't see it myself, was all over Twitter so had a gander. I'd shite myself if i saw it!!
