  1. Not a single death from radiation poisoning after the Fukushima disaster. I think it's quite telling we have to go all the way back to an old poorly maintained reactor melting down in the Soviet Union to find a nuclear accident with a serious death toll... The technology and safety measures have advanced so much in the decades since Chernobyl that I really can't see anything like it happening again, especially not in a Western country.
  2. if the reactor in chernobyl had fell through that concrete floor and hit the water below. Well thats exactly what it would have been. A thermo nuclear explosion they reckoned about 50times more powerfull than hiroshima. . im not anti nuclear power, but i do think that no expense or safety checks be spared when building one. The sacrifice made by the men who went in there to drain the pool is seriously awe inspiring Definition of the word hero http://knowledgenuts.com/2014/04/13/when-three-divers-swam-into-the-jaws-of-chernobyl/
  3. So you introduce a real living wage and start massive house building projects to bring house prices down Motoring and the costs involved is another issue that needs serious looking at IMO, with the costs of tax MOT and insurance I've seriously no idea how any young ones can afford to get themselves on the road which in turn limits their employment opportunities greatly. No disagreement at all that you need to make work actually pay if you want folk off benefits and putting in graft, just another area we're in agreement on the issues just take different directions looking for the solutions

  6. The same on the railways with foreign nationalised companies bleeding the British commuters dry charging the earth to ride their overcrowded perpetually delayed trains If you want to see industries nationalised and run for the benefit of the British public and not foreign shareholders or governments then there's only one party to vote for...
  7. Fair enough, like I said it's so early on anyone making predictions are only doing it on gut instinct really. Definitely going to be an interesting few months of campaigning either way...
  8. He's well ahead of Clinton. You cNt trust the polls anymore just like Breit or the last GE If you can't trust polls how can you know he's well ahead though? What evidence are you basing it on? Personally I'd say it's still very much in the air and it'd be impossible to make a prediction this early on, the campaigns haven't even started up properly yet.
  9. How can a man who doesn't respect the sacrifices made by soldiers and their families be Commander in Chief of the armed forces? http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-khans-trump-timeline-20160801-snap-htmlstory.html?14701502546816

  11. No doubt the influx of immigrants from the old Eastern Bloc countries caused problems and they never should have been included in the free movement of labour until their economies had caught up with the West, importing them only really benefited the elite. Most of those problems could have been solved with better investment and infrastructure though, actually making sure the benefits of immigration to the economy are felt by everyone not just the elite. If foreigners just being here regardless of effects on public services, housing etc is what bothers you then luckily you've got UKIP to vo
  12. Not to mention letting as meny refugees in as Germany has done.Aye most of them absolutely hate the white working class...They were outraged 'their' plebs voted to leave the EU. That's all anyone needs to know about the 'working man's party'. They would love to replace people like us with foreigners.Yep the people who hate Corbyn and what he stands for were pissed off at "their plebs" voting Leave and have been whining about a second referendum, Corbyn on the other hand called for the immediate implementation of Article 50 the morning the referendum result... He's defended free movement of peo

  16. Corbyn and McDonnell both voted for the ban, Burgon and Lewis weren't in parliament when the ban came in and I haven't seen them mention hunting in any interviews, probably safe to say they aren't pro hunting though. It's just something I've come to accept I'm going to disagree with the vast majority of the left on and it's not a big enough issue for me to make me vote for a party that I disagree with on everything else. Sadly it looks like the ban is probably here to stay for a while yet no matter who's in power anyway, even UKIP wouldn't repeal it on a national level but would leave it
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-36941972 This really is shameful, he agreed to resign as an MEP if he was elected to the assembly and now he's actually faced with losing his MEP salary and expenses he's trying to back out of it
  18. Just simply because he'll be in his 70s by the next election, I'd like to see a younger more energetic leader take over from him once the job of reforming the internal structures of the party has been carried out. Richard Burgon and Clive Lewis are both strong contenders for the position in a few years, IMO. I have also said I would have rather seen McDonnell elected leader but that's more of a personal preference, McDonnell has a bit more fire in his belly which appeals to me.
  19. Been a real breath of fresh air on here hasn't it pal, folk with seriously differing views and ideas having a civil adult discussion Never fear. i'm here now to stop all this nicety. You can feck off you horrible c**t, no one wants to discuss anything civilly with you
  20. He's not the second coming and he's not particularly new or fresh, he's been in parliament over 30 years after all what is new and a breath of fresh air is having an actual principled leftist leading the Labour party offering a real alternative to the Lib/Lab/Con consensus we've been living under since the Blair/Major years and he's offering a real chance to reform and democratise the internal party structures and return it to it's founding principles, that's what's got so many people engaged and supporting him and why the establishment on both sides fecking hate him."Breath of fresh air" tha
  21. Funny coincidence that. Just goes to show what I was saying in my original post though, dogs guarding dog aggressive dogs is a disaster waiting to happen

  23. I don't think it's been tested in court yet but in theory even with the changes to the DDA you should be fine if they were on your property unlawfully. Of course never say your dog is a guard dog, it's just a pet that lives in the yard I'd think really carefully before getting a dog to guard dogs, if your dogs get out of the kennel will they try and fight the guard or vice versa? I used to keep bandogs to guard my bulldogs until one of my bulldogs got loose and decided he wanted to take on two 110lb bandogs came home to one very dead dog and two banged up bandogs. I personally won't use d
