  1. Hearts good gear just need to be careful not to give them too much as its very rich and can give dogs the skitts even when mixed with bikkies.
  2. Cheers poacher, I use braid mostly though i have the spare spools loaded with mono for different scenarios. Same here i prefer braid for pike over mono. Do u ever find yourself falling out with it from time to time poacher ??? I do, strong wind or heavy water flow on the braid gets my titts up and then it's mono time !! Lol Wind knots are a nightmare and i have found [bANNED TEXT] fishing rocky bottoms it frays easeir and breaks than mono but tbh i stick with it in most situations.atb dell It is The better job, I have more confidence with the braid. I'm not really sure why that is t

  8. Out in a few hours time I'll keep yous posted lads.
  9. Well done lad, I like the Russell's theyre looking good, or are they white lakelands ??? Pmsl (joking) : ))
  10. I had a bet on with a pal in work that Hendo would knock Bispings top row out an teach him some manners. I liked that KO very much and the second rap in the mouth when he was down just for good measure !!!
  11. Paddy was in my eyes set upon, he stood up for himself which is all that really matters. Them tinkers would need to learn a bit of JKD or something similar. alot of them organised bouts would put anyone to sleep. Long gone are the days of the mighty James Quinn, now he could scrap. Different story altogether
  12. Sonnen should beat him, though Bisping ain't a push over hes a good fighter but he just lacks in certain areas. I was never too fond of Bisping yet the more I see him fight and after the last series of TUF he has grown on me slightly. I will still enjoy to see him taking a good doing lol
  13. That's a lovely fox Ali, good do mate. The bales and roofs are hard to beat pal. Keep up the good work. Atb
  14. Lol that wouldn't go down to well. Tbh I doubt it very much
  15. Thanks for all the replies lads. Well be restricted for room to fish so hoping the wind or drift isn't heading towards our position on the lake, I will be able to try the drift float option. I might use a Polaris float on my first rod or an unloaded pencil. I like to popp my deadbaits up and have had my pb on this method. Due to the muddy bottom on this lake you would think it would be ideal, though I've spoken to a friend that knows the water well and he tells me that they have had no joy on popp up baits and more on just static bottom lying deadbaits !! As already mentioned that they like
  16. Ianh that's exactly the method I had in mind, unloaded pencil float. Im definately using this method on one of my rods from the word go !! Atb
  17. There's an offer you couldn't refuse !!
  18. Holy s h I t. I'm not into sea fishing, more coarse. but that sounds exciting and was very well worded. I was on a boat there for a second reading that !!! Lol atb
  19. Cheers asha. My mate caught a 6lb trout on a smelt on his last trip to this spot so i might bring the spinning rod.
  20. I thought they were all more or less the same and in around the same price ??? What was he using ?
  21. Right lads I'm heading down on Sunday to a venue I know holds big pike, this will be my first time fishing this particular spot but I've done my research and know a few lads that have had good success there in recent months. it's a large enough water though it's not very deep around 6 feet max with a very muddy soft bottom. im near decided in my head on the way im going to approach this water bait, rigs, methods etc. Just out off interest, What methods would yous lads recommend or choose to start off with ???
  22. i think i wlii mate ,,i would love a day out over your end ( n.i ) hint hint LOL.. Could be arranged with a bribe of a yearbook for good measure !!!!! Ha ha only messing pal. Lol
