  19. Do they nest in holes in the ground mate. Sure I found one when I was young.?? no just on the floor in the grass or under a tuft of grass,my mate had his pups out the other day and the pup found a nest with 3 eggs in and the wont show me
  20. lets see if anyone can find a skylarks nest either with eggs or chicks ive found plenty over the years when i was younger but fcuk me ive searched everywhere that holds a good few and just dont seem to be able to find them.i know their nesting there but i end up giving up on them as it head recking...i once new were a ring plover was nesting in a lapwing field it had plenty of little stones in it,the bird was dragging its wing on the ground when i was close to the nest it took me a week to find that nest ut what a sight and that was in kirby where news international is now built
  21. pete ive been doing it since i was a kid as you do,taking eggs but now i just find them and put the on my phone.the whitethroats are easy to find same as reedbuntings you just walk river banks with an egging stick and just brush it lightly over the grass and nettles when a bird flies out search that area but be carefull as the nests are really fragile with woven grass, the reedbunting eggs are stunning and the whitethroats are a bit like house sparrows
  22. i havent looked as much this year for birds nests but i have photos of lapwings eggs, jackdaws ,blackbirds but last year the list was endless,my best i think was whitethroats reed buntings chiffchaffs and blackcaps its still quite early in the season so hoping to find some eggs ive never found
