yeah may be, but you cant force them to eat it . my hob was starved for 2 days and he still would'nt touche it, he has been offered rabbit. squirrel ,pigeon, starlins, mince meat ect .

i wonder if its a hob thing....... .some will some wont..........., all the ones i've heard of have been hobs.........strange that. i suppose the main thing is......as long as they do the job they are kept for, and you are happy with the way they work, it does'nt really matter what they eat, only downside is it can be quite costly feeding dry all the time. thats what i thought is it a hob thing, he will eat any dry ferret food,cat dry food ect he looks well on it and is my best worker .

same here, ive just been given a nice polecat jill 15wks old the bloke said he got it for his kids but it kept nipping they have dun all the handling work she great never attemped to nip me yet and ive had her for about 3wks .

i perfer hobs, ive got a 3yrs old hob and he is steady and relieable and if there is something at home he will find it. Having saying that ive been given a 15 wk old polecat jill so guna give her ago at the end of the season shud be fun as ive never realy worked jills.
