  1. I don't call it grassing, i call it protecting your family, i also agree with giving them a kick up the arse.
  2. I don't agree with grassing, but if someone phone's the police cause they feel their kid's are in danger, i don't blame them and don't class it as grassing, you are fcukin wrong for not protecting them, but that's ok, because there not a grass, kid's in intensive care, but at least the local scumbag's can't call you a grass, sort your head's out.
  3. You have done it perfect mate, when your not sure add a bit more time, i have the liquid level with the tiger's and it get's thicker, it start's to look like the are going off, but i think that is when they are best.
  4. I have a brand new one here, need's christening.
  5. My favourite bait, to prepare them i soak in water for at least 24 hour's, then i bring them to the boil and simmer for 45 min's, i then let the water cool down and put them into a bucket with an airtight lid and leave for at least 5 day's, they are ready to use after cooking but i leave for 5 day's, sometime's 2 week's, they will get a slime on them and the longer you leave them the thicker it will get, the carp love them. As for using them, most rig's will work, but i like 2 nut's on a stiff rig, ring swivel on one end so that it can move, also a combi rig, you can use a cork ball trimmed in
  6. Nice knife paulus, your getting good at this. and i don't mean the photo's.
  7. That last pic, the 8lber look's a very clean fish mate, well done on them all, you must have a good stretch of river to fish on.
  8. bit confused with the term uptrace..? dont think ive ever used one An uptrace is a wire trace, it attaches to your normal hook trace and your line is tied to this, it is only needed with some rig's,it is just an extention of wire so that a pike can't bite you off,a float paternosted livebait would suit an uptrace, if the pike take's the bait and carrie's on upto your trace it will not bite through your line, look it up and it will become clear when it is needed, also as MUDD as already said, unhooking tool's you will definately need, forcep's and long nosed plier's are great tool's, you woul
  9. Got one of midnight's blank's, had it for a while now, i've just had some paracord around the handle, but fancy having a go at a handle, so will get some bit's together and try.
  10. For attaching trace's, i use a 5 turn grinner knot best, never let me down yet, also don't forget to use an uptrace with certain rig's, as for rod's and reel's there is a lot out there, i would get a pike rod in 3lb tc, not a carp rod, as the pike rod is capable of throwing big bait's out a long way, as for a reel, most decent size reel's will do, but i would have a look at the okuma range, i've alway's used shimano's, but recently got an okuma inspira for lure fishing and have found it to be very good, i also have a okuma max 4, which has been excellent upto now, it sound's like you have a de

  15. Ritchie, i think you have got it all wrong, matt isn't worried about any new knife maker's, he actually encourage's the lad's to have a go at knife making, any question's on making knives and he will answer honestly, he has even showed people how to go about it and the pic's show how to do it, i have never thought of making a knife but i still enjoy reading and seeing the how to make them post's, as a lot of people do, you have even said that he has given you some helpful tip's on the other forum, you don't join a site and start an uprising in 13 day's, it is a hunting site, but we don't hun

  22. Alright matt, i have never had any intention of making a knife but have read all your post's since i joined and enjoyed every one of them, found them really interesting, and so did a lot of other's. There have been a fair few lad's on here having ago at making knive's and because of what you have said and shown us, the knive's the lad's are making are brilliant, they have even surprised themselves they say.I think you should keep a few thing's to yourself, like the pattern's on some of them, because that is what make's a bit of difference and it's your own way of doing it. I have had a couple
