id rather breed me own litter a colliex's than buy a pupr off hancock, even if ye wanted summat other thana 1/2, all ye would need is a any old grey an go to somebody with a working hancock dog an ye still be 1 up, being that 1 parent will work, sad but true...........................

a wierd but true story for yees... ended up having a free afternoon today as some plans had fell throo, so my lad been pestering me for a while now to make him a catapult, i have got him 1 here that i got off the bay, for crimbo milbro i think its called, he dont know so wants to make 1. anyways we get the lurchers an my wee folding saw an head over the woods, we had a quick search in the woods an found nowt, then the dogs put summat out of cover an coursed it across a field,s o we headed after them to see if we could see what they was chasing an they was marking a fox earth in a hedge

i tried 1 an yes it caught smaller game, but not as good as a smaller dog an if its big game ye are or were after(before the ban, or abroad) then there are definalty smaller dogs, 23/24/25/26 that can an do catch the same species as the bigger deerhoundx, only reason i can think of folk keeping deerhoundx's over other types of lurchers is they like the type, an nowt to do with work. i liked the deerhound attitude, but if i was ever to have another it would deffo be an deerhound type lurcher x deerhound type lurcher, as the 1st x an even most of teh 3/4 breds are just too big
