  1. Smart thing to do? Make it as child proof as possible too. I know that they can be little buggers at times, but showing you are going above and beyond the required will play in your favour. Put the cabinet well out of sight (out of sight, out of mind) and the keys in a place where they can't reach. As a child minder, you may want areas of your house to remain private too, so put an external lock on your bedroom door for instance and then put the keys in there.
  2. Bolt action - CZ452 Semi Auto - 10/22 Both rifles will shoot far more accurately than the shooter in most instances. Better spending slightly more on the glass on top. Seen alot of people saying about fixed mag scopes. 8x40 or such is popular.
  3. Reliablity, endurance, accuracy, weight, price, maintainence, availablity, quality - CZ452 every day of the week. Most people (after countless threads) will agree.
  4. Got a pal who is selling a pulsar 550, and considering going for that instead... Seems to be better quality than the photon...
  5. Anyone got any experience of using one of these? Looking for some comments, reviews, advice. Anything that might sway my decision to buy one. Looking to stick it on a .22 Rimmie for rabbit shooting at between 30-100 yards average. Cheers guys.
  6. You can tree mount Fenn traps, or be creative and place (still in tunnels) dead wood around (like a ramp). Also explore the Kania 2000.
  7. .22lr gives options of supersonic (fox) and subs (small game). 100% my choice.
  8. CZ and you'll never go wrong. As for scope, fixed mags tend to be rated highly. 8x40 or similar.
  9. And to be honest, if you do end up single, its probably a good thing you learned to master bait.
  10. Any decent £200 scope 8x40 or similar will do for some amateur bunny bashing.
  11. Aye. And like i said. Not even that because my old man would travel to meet him. His loss - the original owner rang yesterday and retrieved him, which to be honest, is the better result imo.
  12. I believe (and someone may know better) that de-activating involves welding a solid lump of metal down the barrels, and also either welding in the firing pins to prevent discharge, or welding the head space to prevent a cartridge/round being loaded into the chamber.
  13. Aye. And I said my old man would come out part way to meet him...Some people are so ungrateful...
  14. My old man has one for free your side of crewe if you want to use the money to travel. He's desperate to be rid of. He doesnt normally keep them. He was handed this one because someone else was gunna knock it on the head. Gimme a shout if you want it. Im sure he would come part way to meet you.
  15. Would it really though? Are you going to be firing so many rounds for the sake of a few 10's of foxes that the price of .243 rounds comes to more than the cost of an entirely new rifle? You already have the .17 for bunny bashing.
  16. its 50 feet from the center of the road.bud100ft with a large hedge next to a quiet road and I might consider shooting, but 50 ft from the centre of the road is a bit close in my opinion.
  17. My old man has one that he found. Dunno if its vastecomised, but you can have it for free if you want it? He's based near Nantwich. PM me if interested. Cheers.
  18. As above. Good rough shooter. Only down side is that one barrel doesn't eject, but still presents so can manually remove. Auto safety, with fixed chokes at 1\4 & 3\4. Can RFD post at buyers cost, but not sure it would be worth it. Looking for 120 quid or near offers. Perfect first time gun for someone who just wants to potter about on the pigeons etc. SGC holders only. Can travel to meet halfway within reason. Pictures on request. Cheers.
  19. Going to get hoovered up if you dont get it off the carpet!
  20. Quite possibly. The crow will have squawked and flapped and jumped and drawn a lot of attention, but the dead one wouldn't. She may never have noticed the dead one at all.
