  1. So why are you so obsessed with hating Bullx dogs? Its very strange. You wouldnt be into teeth having salukis would you, but maybe you should double up if you have problems with drive.
  2. Just curious, how much do you pay for Gain 28 now? Its called Time now isnt it? They got bought out.
  3. Pipe down lad? Ive had a look at that picture of your dogs feet and theres nothing to worry about? Youre doing fine...
  4. Yeah its like a dog winning the derby or a big coursing stake but it has to be treated all the way and is not the soundest, but they are the dogs that people que up to breed from.
  5. Do you think a lot is sacrificed for pace alone, and thats why dogs get finer?
  6. i agree, good strong wrists that fold well back on themselves, but if the foots flat or pastern let down, all the pressure is put on the wrist, and once a dog gets wrist injuries its knackered really.
  7. They appear in Greyhounds which are in your dogs, but what you are saying is you have no experience of really flat feet because they dont occur in the dogs you keep (not breed) So everything you have said so far means nothing as usual because you have no experience as usual. You really are a bit thick mate. As far as bad mouths are concerned in saluki types, its simple they are lacking drive. If my dogs turn out with flat feet, lack of drive, gameness or wind then I take them out of the breeding program. Thats something else I believe you only have negative experience of.
  8. Hes not. A dog with flat feet (not hare) cant perform to its fullest. They soon begin to suffer and lack form. He probs doesnt understand difference between hare and flat feet anyway. Feet are first contact with the earth. Without feet and earth, no movement would occur at all, so feet are very important and affect everything. They are the tyres for grip and the shock absorbers to take away the trauma of the body being bashed against the earth to propel it along. Thats why they dont like flat feet in armies. The problem is that some good dogs have or should I say are cursed with flat feet. Thi
  9. Everything starts from the ground. They are industrial feet?
  10. Thats very true, you see it boxing all the time.
  11. I thought that dog looked good, but thats the trouble nowadays, we all think we can know and judge everthing from youtube clips. Thanks for explaining it.
  12. You generalise, because you dont understand strains. Why would you bring Bullx into a coursing thread. Youre thick.
  13. That sentence doesnt even make sense, but I get the gist. Its your usual obsession/inferiority complex coming through re Bullx type dogs which are for diffrent work and not Hare dogs. Youre like a stuck record mate, boring to say the least.
  14. Poor dog was all used up. Ive seen them on vid run a lot more than that, and kill at the end of it. Dogs in this country wouldnt normally be running on ground as dry and hard as that, and there was also a lot of stone track running. Not fit enough? or not enough heart? the first can affect the other a lot as we know.
  15. I only really made it for one for my wife?but thanks, it was a lot of work
  16. This is the first bag Ive made off that form. Its in 4mm tooling shoulder and hand dyed with a mahogany oil based dye. The front edge is rolled pig skin that extends down inside to cover the back of the catch. I havnt actually measured it but its about 81/2inches x 9inches. The strap is 5/8 wide and adjustable with 2 loops, one fixed and one running.
  17. I didnt know they made antis in geordie land. Man has been testing dogs against badgers for hundreds of years.
  18. A really good limited print of a brace of working Borders, still in cellophane un opened, if any Border lads are interested.
  19. Each to their own! you said it
  20. Its not something that attracts you, so you feel that you are in a higher place where you can judge others from. When was this past when it didnt play a part in lurcherwork, and who decides all this and what we should all be doing or not doing? Is it you? If the antis get there way you wont be doing anything. The only people murdering badgers will be the establishment as usual. Judge not that ye be not judged, and mind your own mate!
  21. cracking rifle they are. Accurate?
  22. Homemade beef tallow balm. One is from grass fed.
  23. I can see the sense in that. When wild animals like wolves, big cats etc are at their best they are lean and dry and have usually gone a good while without meat, then after a kill they have a belly full, and it all start again. I know we all tend to look a lot at Greyhound trainers but Lurchers are hunting dogs with different stresses on them and their work is less routine and closer to nature than a greyhound. I cant believe I used to give my dogs breakfast on a morning the day of lamping, especially a wet one. When a dog gets fit it doesnt drink much, but has a good drink now and then. They
  24. Who knows mate. I fed tripe in different forms over the years ie minced raw, boiled, etc. Whichever way it holds a lot of water and fat. You cant beat Beef imo and Ive worked in greyhound kennels and help feed open class dogs, but never with tripe.. having said that at least its flesh and better than just all in one biscuit.
  25. I wouldnt call you a liar. Could it be Irish foxes and Badgers dont mind eating guts? Either way they are not great for feeding working greyhounds or lurchers. Read "The Greyhound trainer" by H.Montagu-Harrison (Irish) Known as the "Govenor" back in the 60s for his scientific approach to feeding canine athlete's and his views on tripe.
