    To be fair though i fought the farmer should have given you permison after helping with the calves, thats quite a big help!, another thing is you can offer to be his eyes and ears when you are on the land.

    Weird and mixed up?.... not really... if you had the constant problem with gypos and the like nicking stuff you would be suspicious too!

    I never clean the barrel either just lead up the barrel with the new pellet.

    Just got a 4-12 x 40 they are as good as the hype abut them! Still not sure if they are better than a MTC though, equal but not better in my opinion.

    get about 300 - 400 pellets through it and it beds in nicely, i fought mine was spot on when i first got it back but a tin through it and its still getting better! Atb

    Ha yeah a few years ago now before it became one big TV documentary i agree cammo dose give you the edge and probably makes a big difference , but i love being out of it now haha and the fact that the HW97 is in a nickel finish Atb

    £300 will get you a decent second hand set up for a TX200 or HW 97 or a Break Barrel HW 95, just start with that i wouldnt worry about cammo gear, i have never worn it and dont plan to either.

    At a guess i would say no due to the pellet path, more center fire and rim fire.

    As above zero will be ok but zooming out will increase the yards in hold over and hold under aim points.

    I have looked at the panorama as well, are these really that good? would you rate it more than the mtc scopes, im looking for a 44mm at max so the 40mmm panorama is in the price bracket! Atb

    I am looking for a new scope, for around £150 to go onto the HW97k. So far i am thinking the: Hawke Varmint SF MTC Viper MTC Mamba light Will be used for vermin around 25 - 45 yrds, IR not really important. Many thanks.

    Evening around 8 - 10 pm rabbits will be out feeding and after a shot they will all bolt back in, but will come out with 30 -40 min whereas in the morning they normaly bolt and stay in for longer.

    Yeah from oil in the barrel or oil / grease in front of the piston seal in the chamber, but if there is no smoke, that probably is it true power.
