    Get a lamp and battery and keep up with the training nothing you can do till the big cut then start him off on simple easy to catch rabbit very close no silly slips what so ever you are best having a rough grass field so the rabbit is slow so it can be easily caught this will boost ya dog confidence and that's what you need a confident dog

    They put bull over the grey for jaw power not for speed , heart , bit of size and the locking system make sure once the game was in there mouth theres no going back for you or the dog.     Its much better in the open you can see the run lesser chance of killing the dog and you don't have to go looking through a wood for ya dog open fields all the way for me

    if you got it from new i would send it back to bsa they will swop it for a new on or recondition it the spring in one of mine is weeker than my r10 mags but its 100% fine so could be something else ???
