  1. Remember that race. Poor woman doing line judge got so excited about who won she put the flags up in the wrong order. When it all came out in the wash the only person who didn't seem bothered was the bloke who should have won? Just shrugged his shoulders.
  2. Which one and when? There are quite a few knocking about?
  3. I beg your pardon. £12 in advance £14 on the gate? Fooooking hell!!!!! Has nobody told these clowns that we are in a recession?????
  4. £12 to be pestered by Double Glazing Salesmen and shop for things that you can get cheaper on the internet. There have already been 2 shows cancelled due to lack of Trade Stands as they can't afford the pitch fees. It will only get worse whilst big money grabbing companies run these things for profit only. Rather go to the charity/ smaller shows. POP and EDRD. Living Heritage and Countrymans Fairs need to take a long look at what they are providing under the "Country" umberella. Since when did Stunt Shows become part of the Country lifestyle FFS. Rant over :-)
  5. He's off on one now digging out envelopes and stamps and talking about checking the tent. So! It looks like we'll be camping Saturday night. God help me LOL
  6. Thanks for that. He's on about camping as well now? He saw that word that makes him 30years younger "FREE". Anyway we'll be there, if I don't kill him first! LOL
  7. Is there ringside parking at this event or is it outside and walk in? Me Dad wants to come but he really struggled when we went to the East of England Show last year although he did insist on seeing everything "I've paid so I want to see it" was his attitude LOL. Damn near killed me
  8. As I was in the area this weekend I went along for a watch this morning. Now I know the NLRC get some stick but I have to say that today was let down by the punters. NLRC had picked a cracking venue, good ground and facilities with a nice long run. It was only open to qualified dogs so I was really disappointed with the numbers that turn up. 4 coursing, 4 under 23 and 8 over 23. That said the racing was good and close, just not enough dogs, and I'm giving NLRC Didn't hang around to find out who won what as I had to get home but well done to all.
  9. "Great weekend!! The winner of the coursing celebrated by drinking "17" pints of local ale!!!" That fella with the red fleece on looks like Charlie Drake.lol :laugh:He probably sounded like him after 17 pints
  10. Cracking weekend. Met some real nice folk, quality dogs and even had a go at the coursing. That bitch that won it is 9 years? Unbelievable until you get up close and look at her. Brilliant!!!!!
  11. Racing normally starts after 11 and there is normally ringside parking.
  12. Anybody going to Cheshire this weekend? If it's the same as last year it was cheaper going into the Lurcher entrance?
  13. 22 degrees, slight breeze and cloud cover. Excellent digging weather. Looking forward to it. And the dogs of course
  14. It would appear to me that there is nothing wrong with Irish shows. It's more to do with the people attending and after event mudslinging. Much the same happens over here in "Blighty" but with a lot less vigour. One thing I have noticed over here though, is that racing is either advertised as an "open" meaning Greys are welcome to run or there is racing for Greys in the racing schedule. Yes, you will always get the ones that must win at all costs and put up a grey in amongst the Lurchers but who are they really cheating?
  15. Cracking day today. Magic little show, good crowd, the weather held off even though we were surrounded by thunder at one point. Definitely go again.
  16. Bit of a cross post here but I've talked the whole family into coming along. Really looking forward to it.
  17. Thanks Folks, you sold it to me so I'll be there. One question, is the parking ringside or in the public area. Depends ao the parking as to whether I give all the hounds an outing. Thanks Again Cobbler
  18. http://www.cheshiregameandanglingfair.co.uk/ Found this. Anybody been before? Might give it a go as the weather looks to clear again by then.
  19. Totally agree! Been to both organisers events and have to say that NLRC, which advertises itself as being the dogs b******s, have been abysmal. If you look on their website everything at Bakewell was fine, just a little damp. They are also asking for people to help which is worrying when you consider the membership that they used to have?
