  1. Arrived nice and early on the Saturday to security not really knowing what was going on until somebody from Lurcherworld came over and got us let in to the ringside. Half price entrance for me and my old boy Bert, thanks again to Lurcherworld. Had a walk around the race track and showing rings as the carpark filled up and then went to watch the Pet dog coursing thing in the main arena. I've never seen so many turns in any type of course in my life and i don't think the lure went a full circuit until somebody took half of them out . Went down to watch the racing and gave old Bert a go in the
  2. I asked this question when my Mutt got beaten by 2 greyhounds at Thame and somebody said it was to do with the company that sponsors it? A valid point I suppose as they make food for all breeds. I thought a Lurcher won it last year?
  3. I rang and asked on the off chance of being able to camp but was told no because I hadn't qualified. To far for 1 day so didn't bother.
  4. A place called redbourne, just south of Luton.
  5. This weekend, anybody going? Bit far for me but I could always drop in on relatives while I'm down there
  6. Took full advantage of the free camping and £5 entry. A great weekend with something for everybody. The big organisations really could learn something from this show. Friendly people with a relaxing atmosphere set amongst some stunning scenery and to top it all the weather held up for the most part. Will I be there next year? You can count on it
  7. £5 each U16's free, same postcode DE4 2PH, Straight racing starts at 8.30-9am, Lurcher Champion of Champions 11am, Open show around 12.30-1pm. Terriers Open show 11am, Champion of Champions to follow. Thanks. Free camping and only £5 entry. Silly to miss this one. See you there
  8. Game Show at Sandringham this weekend is it run by Sandringham estate or one of the show companies?
  9. As my mate said "17 quid for a poxy 1930's cinema ticket and didn't even get a bloody program"! Could quite easily have come home with some new double glazing, a car, cavity wall insulation, a disabled buggy, some cutlery and a cuddly toy.
  10. Went yesterday and was really surprised how quite the show was. Weather I suppose. The Lurcher racing was brilliant. I spent most of the day watching that and the showing. Shame there wasnta food tent nearer. Not really sure where Disney fits in with country life but there was a lot of kids around it. Only bad bit was I got me camera wet and lost all me photos so if anybody has got some put them on please?

  12. Sorted now, wont be able to make the Sunday for the coursing but have talked HID to going on the Monday
  13. I think it's pure economics. Everything is going up so there is a knock on effect everywhere. Our local school always had a Marquee for it's summer fair but this year the cost had risen to such an extent that they had to cancel it. The provider listed cost increases in fuel, vehicle insurance, liability insurance and employee insurance. When you consider the amount of Marquees, employees and vehicles involved in just setting up a show??????? The thing is that the organisers know that people that really want to go will pay the price, as I do, I have to agree with Niel82 though , Flask and
  14. I've been reading all the bad things about this Fair on the pinned topic and it sounds terrible. However I've just been on thier website and they say all the problems have been sorted. Did anybody go last year? As I've never been I don't fancy driving all the way there, paying etc and find the views on here are nearer to the mark. Cheers
  15. There is a link on Facebook saying it's going ahead as they have sorted out temp roads.
  16. Hello, new here and my first post so please be gentle Is this the same as the Cheshire Game Fair that was on earlier in the year?
