    I'll throw my hat in here and agree with what gaz and bullx100% said. It's like women,plug ugly munters are a joy to ride and work hard for you but who the f**k wants to be seen with one? I like a good looking proportioned dogs fit for my purpose been the same the last 20yrs with bulls and I'm not gonna change for lurchers and yes I have shown dogs not that it makes any difference.

    I don't think so, could be feet, or beaks, or any other part that wouldn't go into the human food chain,If its a good part of the bird they would advertise it, that's why my main feeding is Beef, Chicken and rabbit, proper stuff. not looking for an argument, but try contacting them and asking what part of the bird they use, you may be lucky to recieve an answer. but if your happy, and your dogs do well on it, well carry on. No me neither CJ I think its down to what grade of chicken ie human consumption,pet food or below

    My mrs buys these my dogs mags and there was a good article exactly about this and the outcome was purple was the easiest to see for dogs.

    I used gain 28 for a long while but switched to redmills as there coats went dry and flaky but if I was to go back I would use record breaker as I think its a better product but I can't get it easily.

    I use gaiters ,, on my boots don't really think they make that much noiseI only ask as recently I was giving the ferts a stretch and heard a group of ramblers a mile away all wearing gaiters I heard every foot step coming.Can you get different types?

    One of my trucking pals used to be a dairy farmer and always said the same I just steer(pun intended ) well clear been run off a field by bulls once to many times now.

    Isn't the reduction in height enough? Someone who wants the deerhound temperament, feet and coat but smaller? Surely you can get that from other crosses beddy,collie?I don't think you can get the deerhound temperament in beddy or collie mate.So basically its temperament then as the other traits are easily obtainable but as kranky said if it throws to the whippet its not what your looking for?Yeh I agree feet and coat are easily obtainable. Some people will just like the deerhound temperament and nature. But want it in a smaller body. As you say though, they could end up with anything

    Personally I don't use the pads never have as your teaching to piss on a pad in the house then still have to train to go outside why not just train to go outside to start with? Also do any of you teach to piss/empty on command its handy and easy to teach. I put pups out first thing after every meal etc etc when they go (you will look a knob but bear with me) high pitched praise using whatever command you want I use go wee then lots of good girl/boy. Always worked with all dogs I've had pups or older that have come in.
