They will be able to bite pretty hard to your 5 year old so try and handle them a lot. 11 weeks and they've not been handled? Where did you get them from? Keep handling them and get them used to being picked up in different ways.

I had to concede mate. The thing turned out like a stale piece of bacon. Dog got hold and it snapped into bits. I'm going through the same now mate. I've got a 10 week whippet pup here. I'm introducing her to the ferrets at every chance. Been trying some retrieve but she's messing about so I'll just keep working on it. She wasn't interested in a teddy and I had a rabbit skin left over and she goes mad for it. Going to buy a dummy covered in rabbit skin to help along. There's a lot of people on here which know a lot and will help you out. They give sound advice and have been in the game longer than I've been alive. Just listen to what they say and the most important thing I've been told with any anim

My Jill buggers off through my back fence Into the wheat field where I have no chance of finding her. I wait a few minutes and then shout and whistle and I can hear the rustling a good 15-20 yards out and then she appears back through the fence. One of my hobs went through the fence today and I couldn't find him so had to get the dog, luckily she found him. He was making his getaway

Don't use cuprinol. It's shite. And I used hammerite on mine and the ferret chewed at a bubble and got paint on his face. The box is now sawn up and used as a litter tray haha

I'm breaking my 10week whippet pup to them now. Got a bowl of milk and chucked them down. It was fine. My pup doesn't want to kill them, just play. I let them together and then tap her when se jumps on it. Left her with my job today and he took a bit of stick then bit her. She left well alone after that. I'm happy the ways Shea getting with them now. Don't know about terriers though, maybe need someone more experienced to help you if the dogs actually trying to kill them

On the DVD he uses a soft fluffy toy for te retrieve. Should the pup play with this all the time or should I keep it only for when we are retrieve training?

I've got a 10week old whippet pup that I've just been doing basic discipline with and a little bit of retrieve. I got a copy if 'purdys progress' and watched it last night. I'm wondering if there is anything I should do different from the DVD as he was training a lurcher or is it the same. I'm only asking as I've searched posts and it seems that some people feel the whippet needs a different approach. Just trying to do the best by the dog. I'm nt after a world beater or anything just a ferreting dog. Thanks very much. Lee

What everyone's opinions of the greatest mma fights of all time? The most satisfactory fight for me was when kimbo slice got knocked out by Seth petruzelli within 30 secs. Seth only turned up at the event to watch but ended up fighting. There's also Anderson silva vs Forrest griffin. Anderson finished it with a 2inch jab as he was backing away. Greatest has to be wanderlei silva bs chuck liddel. Slugfest an those two are hardy as fcuk! What a fight. Just seen a re-play on te tv.

Tyson fury is slower than a week in jail. No match for haye or klitschko bro's. On the other hand he took some digs and looked pretty fit for his size. He's only 22 so he's got time to improve. Hope he brings home the bacon for the uk. If he doesn't he will bring home the whopper with extra BACON.

Couple of years back Seen a lad trying to do the jumps on a little hill. Two lads went at the same time from different ends and met in mid air. The teeth from one stuck in the others head just above the eyebrow. Blood everywere and that must of hurt. Must off been a dog closely somewhere.....

Aye I have actually. One of my best mates infact. But my whole point is 10 free UNOCCUPIED disabled spaces yet they choose to park in the child spaces. Where's the f****n thinking and thought behind that? They expect people to give them thought in everyday life yet some (and not all) don't give a thought about anybody else. Like I said one rule for then, another rule for everybody else
