Had a toy about with the idea of a lanyard made out of paracord 550. 350lb breaking strain. 23" long with either a steel mini carabina or a small clasp fitting. Useful for LOADS of things.... - security badges -id cards -dog whistles -fox calls (or other) -camera lanyard -binoculars - wallet lanyard -lamp lanyard (so you can use both hands on game) Loads of possible uses for them..... They can be unbreakable...or fitted with a breakaway (so they come off when pulled...for security /bouncers etc). Can modify them if need be...longer...shorter...double clips..

The UK stuff aint that bad when its fully loaded. I've now used some softer cord on some of my handles, it does lay nice and flat, plus it gave me the chance to add some colour into them. a Are you buying in 1000' spools of the 550? nice and cheap in those quantities What the fcuk am i going to do with 1000ft of a certain colour? I buy them locally in 300ft spools....if somebody REALLY wanted a particular colour, i could buy 50ft, 100ft etc to do what they wanted

the 550 cord is 10 times better than the uk stuff to tie with.... its got a coating on the outside and 7 inner woven strands. this stuff is true survival cord you can take out the inner cords and use them singly as fishing line,rabbit snares and so on.... will get a picture up of it its not just about me tying it...its once the carrier is loaded up,with the weight of 10 rabbits.....I think the uk cord may dig in a bit.... and if the walk is 700m....its going to hurt like hell. this stuff ties flatter too meaning the handle is a lot smoother and comfier to hold

Cheers for the comments lads. I only used the flag because it shows the camouflage colours better. Didnt have a clean white towel in the garage, they are all 'dog' towels. I dont mind making these, made myself a 'secret' jig which is all measured out so i just 'tie away..... Im disappointed that i didnt use this cord sooner, as the uk cord ones are way below the quality of these .... Workmanship is the same...but the material makes all the difference.... Got a few fittings for a couple of paracord survival bracelets too, wont be selling them though...just handy to have

No moisturising cream used mate. But i did have to wear gloves with the 50,000 knots i had go do on yours! These hands have never seen a mole trap !!! Bet your hands look like an africans back!

Updated thread with what ive decided to go with after a bit of modifying. Going to scrap the UK paracord.... british is always best...but after 10 rabbits are loaded up, the thinner cord may be harsh on the hands. So... Paracord 550....this has a breaking strain of 350LB!...and WONT ROT. comes in BRIGHT GREEN or CAMO. can mix them if you want...for example 'green loops-camo handle' and vice versa. They are 22" long and have 5 loops either side...can do 6...or less... Any more would be a tangle. This cord is decent stuff, nice and wide, ties flat and good to the

Went ferreting with a lad to help him out once. Told me he had kept ferrets for 5 years...but these were his new ones... Went on to explain that he kept ferrets over summer....then come winter when it got cold he sold them for 20 quid... Then got a new set in the summer, sold them in the winter....had dome this for 5 or more years. Told him what i thought and fecked off. Seen him soon after on another forum saying he had mated his jill and once the kits were 8 weeks he was selling as a job lot.....
