  1. So are you going shooting tonight or you not going to bother ??
  2. I'd be interested in your hw100 if your going part ex it ?
  3. Mark, there's a lad I work with on about selling his for £350 , I haven't seen it yet, but that's about the going rate for them.
  4. The nicest 1 I have ever seen was for sale on gunstar about 3 weeks ago, stunning tiger striped stock, I nearly bought it, the mags aren't a problem , more loading in the correct position, I also tippexed a line into mine to aid the loading to get the full shots.
  5. They are a very good gun indeed, accurate , normally have stunning stocks, highly tuneable !! I found mine very good indeed, only downside is the mags are poor, you have to make sure you insert the mag correctly or you will loose a shot, if it was a choice of a hw100 against the excalibre I would chose the hw100 all day long for the loading side of things , but if I was after a gun to tune to the hilt, then the excalibre
  6. I hear, and this means I dont know for sure, that the v-mach kits may not keep the rifle below the limit, with regard AA springers only. When I got my PS, I thought about doing it but everyone I spoke to said dont. Mac included... Its running on synths anyway. Think Im leaning the HC way... in a few months like. Nice choice there viz. Think it will be getting a new spring as the 1 that's in it is 8mm out of square, which in a way is good as that explains the pi55 poor grouping lastnight, then a good polish ! Rez did you use the vMach piston seal Mac sent you ?
  7. Got the tx in bits tonight, as I put a few pellets through it lastnight and it just wasn't shooting nice at all, grouping was terrible, stripped it tonight, the Grease was like oil, running off ! The spring is out of square on the ends, so it's going to get a good clean, re lube, and a polish to the trigger sears, I'm in two minds to vmach it .
  8. Nowt wrong with having a tipple or two , I normaly do a bottle in every two weeks, famous grouse last me 2 weeks at least, but if I get a nice bottle, it could only last a couple of day to a week, some of the tastes are very nice indeed, I don't see anything wrong with it, enjoy mate
  9. Nice project for the winter months
  10. If it's got no sheen to it , you need to keep rubbing it down with the wire wool and oil it more mate
  11. Nice looking rapid, if it had been ambi I would have been tempted
  12. It's getting there, gave it a quick inspection ! Found 1 light scratch so a light wire woolling before its next coat, take your time doing rush nature! It looks well - don't spoil it.
  13. No such thing, slow painful recovery.
  14. Well done , nice rapid as well
  15. The end result will tell its own tail ! The stock will darken down on each coat of oil, I think it may take 3 to 4 coats to get the result Mac is looking for , after each coat has been left to soak in for an hour the excess will be rubbed of with a lint free cloth, then left to go off for 24hrs, then a light rub down with 0000 wire wool, then a wipe with a damp cloth before the next coat of oil ! That's from his joiner mate who mustn't know nowt about hardwoods or finishes !
  16. I looks better already, I will keep you right mate, it will be stunning when it's finished to my standard mate
  17. It's getting there, now get off the net and keep on rubbing it !
  18. Nice to see your getting a few mate, keep up the good work
  19. Bought it on impulse, always loved the tx200hc, but normaly shoot them in .22, this was on the shelf in our mates gun shop, soon as I seen it I knew I was buying it lol! Fitted my spare hawke AirMac 3-9x50 as my spare mtc mamba 4-16x50 is on low mounts, looking forward to stripping it to give it a polish, hope I can get used to the .177 loading, this is a true left hander in a stunning walnut stock.
  20. Couldn't resist it, shame it's in .177
