  2. As the season is approaching fast now , I presume everybody else is beginning to concentrate on his or her dogs exercise and fitness regimes, what are your personal preferences for getting your running dog fit? Everybody has their own ways and views, and I know some that don’t really bother building better fitness levels at all and just wait until September and begin running them and that’s it, but personally, I like my dog to be up to a high level of fitness by the time we start our season seriously. I used to jog the lurcher at the side of the push bike, but I now have two running

  8. Well ask the man that bred your dog... If keith is in the bloodline you should be able to trace it down quite easily, because somebody along the line must have met N.S for him to provide a lining, unless of course, somebodys sold you a dog that hasn't got keith or any N.S blood at all.
  9. Yep thats right, wouldn't bother with the floor paint, waste of time and money,Hard wearing red Quarry tiles are the best thing possible. when wet there are not slippy, very hard wearing and dry quickly.

  15. Cheers for the replies lad’s the advice is appreciated. I was swaying towards the shogun anyway, and I think that’s what I’ll end up going for. The defender is a tool of land, I’m not doubting that, but for the things I do, travelling allot of miles Up and down the country in a night, I think the features and general reliability of the shogun will suit me, And there meant to be handy off land with the right tyres, And shepp- as for being poncy, that’s your view, but if it does the job in hand, and doesn't get you a pull then it will suit me,
  16. Before the start of next season I’m adding a new recruit to the team, General use, long nights lamping, covering a fair few miles on and off road, and through the day with the terriers and general day to day use, Right If you had the choice, what would you go for... or any comments plus'/ negatives you may have about any of the motors. Pictures are Not of the exact motors for sale, just examples. 1) A land rover defender 90, 2'lift, new springs, chassis, paint job etc, 2.5 litre tdi 2) Nissan Terrano commerial 2.7 Td 3) Shogun 4work commercial swb, 3.2
  17. Rolfey. Same here lucky- summer is the worst time of year, Roll on september I say.... The quicker the better...
  18. 3 dogs? They must be the real deal,
  19. just intrested in what your standerds are lucky pretty simple really.....read my signature ....now lets here yours ??? no one is saying you dont catch alot, but surely when a car and a dog are doubled up means the dog is not single handed....imo opinion this dont show a true single handed dog.... Because a car is involved that doesn't class the dog as been doubled up! If the dog is running solo, then catches and kills then the dog is 'single handed', the car is used to get close enough to the quarry, then its upto the dog, With the land lucky will lamp it is almost
  20. A mix and match of average lurchers gone by- Mainly saluki greyhound
  21. All deer are different; a few friends and me were only just discussing this earlier today, You have to take into account different circumstances, and judge each deer different, You get old ones, young ones, educated ones, and they are all going to run slightly different, But a good deer dog has to be fast, simple as that, if it isn’t fast enough, It isn't going to catch, no matter how keen it is. A good percentage of greyhound is essential if your main target was deer. Another essential is a dog that will jump well and at speed, Yes some dogs will catch them bouncing off fences and
  22. That is strange, I always thought deer would not settle with sheep around A nice sight though!
