  1. my own view is that dogs will pick the hunting game up naturally, especially on the smaller game, on the bigger stuff, deer, fox etc, entering with a dog that no's the score is always a boost for a young dog.
  2. the black patterdale is about 3 1/2. the wheaton is a big lad, and is going to be one hell of a strong dog.at 10 months he polished off 4 foxes, 2 doubled up and 2 single handed the other day. and earlier on in the season was killing foxes. so far so good. only other pictures i have at the moment are these...
  3. Out yesterday, pisser of a dig at 2ft, few pics... mates weaton, around 10 month, doing well. and his patterdale after the dig. Break through..

    DOG SENSE

excellent write mate, the good memories.
  11. After seeing a few maggies about around the back of my yard where all the song brids are nesting, i've been planning to have a crack at them when a good chance arised, finally got the chance tonite, shot it from 20 yards out of an old oak tree, one down, hopefully more to go!
  12. , when do you fancy a walk out again?
  13. my opinion on a dog getting dug to over the 30 mark each year is that it will obvisouly not be hard dog, that goes to ground trying to eat its quarry, but a dog that worrys the arse of the quarry, baying like mad, mixing it a little bit if need be, but being sensible about it. a dog that uses its voice freely more than its bite can be dug to 3/4 times a day. i prefer a bayer. saves time and money.
  14. looks like an old hob i once owned before selling him for a little, £5. i still regret it to this day, never had a better worker since. are you near yorkshire?
