  5. Raw bones are not a problem usually. Its cooked bones that splinter and can cause a dog to choke.
  6. Asda 20 chiken wings £1.20, split into 4 portions=30p a portion Asda tin of brand name dog meat 50p Also cheap at supermarkets neck of lamb 60p for a good feed, turkey legs £1 for a mega feed. Liver,kidney etc,pennies,once a week though. My local butcher,pay a bit more for all my families meat needs,get his off-cuts and bones,feckin amazin what they'll give you. Did i mention rabbit. Each to thier own guys but from now on its raw for my dog.

  9. Hi Simoman. Plucking i'm afraid, is time consuming, but also quite theraputic. I have heard that you can dip the bird in scalding hot water, which makes the feathers easier to come off.(the opposite applies to salt water species) When you pull the feathers to pluck the bird, pull in the opposite direction that the feathers grow,with sharp tugs. If you start ripping the skin try grabbing fewer feathers. An alternative to plucking is to skin and remove the breast only. I only do this when i have lots of birds. To draw (gut) a bird.     Totally agree with this. You can spend an age just scrolling these posts. What i'm wondering about now,being new to the forum,is when i log in i tend to stay logged in. ie all day,regardless of whether i'm using the forum. Is this a problem?Should i log out after a visit? regards Stevie.
