Hillsborough disaster inquests to open Long-awaited fresh inquests into the deaths of the 96 people killed in the Hillsborough disaster will begin today. Most of the day is expected to be taken up with jury selection for the hearing, taking place on the outskirts of Warrington, Cheshire, which is expected to last for several months. There are due to be opening statements from the coroner and the families this week, with background "pen portraits'' of all the victims being presented to the court over the next month.

Just stepping upto the plate mate. Maybe they prefer being the underdogs for a wee while. I know when larsson broke his leg, viduka started to come into his game. The problem with Rooney, I predicted at Christmas he'd find form before the World Cup. Lot of English lads fighting for positions. Just got to give him the benefit of the doubt.

They have already been given a disadvantage from the word go mate or they wouldn't be up for adoption. It's not an ideal situation by a long way but there are far worse scenarios out there. There are kids born heroin addicts. I'm sure these kids wouldn't mind living with the stigma of having 2 loving mums.

I think we all accept in an ideal world, a mummy and daddy in good work, happy ever after is best for all concerned. But unfortunately life isn't ideal. The fact the kid needs adopted in the first lace is evident of that and it took two heterosexuals to produce the kid in the first place. So where on the list of ideal situations would gays come? Low down or high up?

It's a tricky one. I hate gays, don't like them, don't have gay mates, never would. But, regarding kids etc. I'm sure Elton's kid will have a better quality of life than some single parent junkie pumping out kids for the social money. I don't think today's generation hold the same stigma to gays as older ones so, as long as the kids going to get a good life, why not. It should be all about the child and whether who ever is adopting them can give them a good life regardless of sexuality.

I get the same feeling wilf. Something's different at Man U. Rooneys starting to play etc. it's amazing how better a team plays when the pressures off. I still think when the pressures back on next season, moyes will be found wanting but just now, could be a wee Indian summer for Man U.

Too true malt. It's like last season when we were struggling a bit cos of Europe, you had that feeling of, who cares if we don't win every week, we will still win it. You need rangers to keep you on your toes. I loved the fitba when everyone played at 3 on a Saturday. Someone close in the stadium had a radio listening for results, it was a great buzz. TV has a lot more to answer for lack of atmosphere, attendances etc than they think.

Good luck to you, the paperwork is a nightmare, but its well worth it in the end. If you're up front about your past, they will take a better view than if you try to hide anything. We had 2 hard qualifiers but qualified for the champions league which is a feat in itself. We then found ourselves in the hardest group in the CL so did what was expected in the circumstances. What team do you support?
