  1. Matt, just out of sheer curiosity mate, you were part of the cull, how many did you get. Pm me if you like, no hidden agenda, as I say, just curious pal. Don't need to tell me obviously
  2. :notworthy: some excellent posts on this thread, I love reading them. I'll read something I forgot I used to do and I'll remember it, f***ing great well done guys, keep em coming
  3. I don't know why the English prem get so many CL places, your mediocre at best. Strongest teams in the league made to look ordinary against the big boys. Europe is the stage to show how strong your best teams are.. Once again England flattered to deceive.
  4. The latest local roumour is that the dog laid on the baby and suffocated the child. Untill the cause of death is stated we can only guess. TC That sounds plausible mate. Nothing will bring the baby back but I hope the mother found the baby this way instead of the grizzly way portrayed.
  5. he's up the mountains man, he'll be fine best way to catch them, you know that
  6. Getting back to the original thread, something's don't stack upto me the mother was heard saying the dogs eat her babies head and yet the police don't know yet the cause of death
  7. I'm pretty sure there will be fish in them. Maybe not net breaking but you'll prob get trout 1/2lb and the odd photo taker. Going by your description there are a couple of ways it can be fished. I don't know if the banks are open or tree strewn so we will deal with open first. 2 ways I'd fish it would be trotting the maggot and bubble float with fly. Both excellent in moving water. I'd use the maggot method till I saw fish rising which will probably be around April. Trotting the maggot with a float, you basically only need a float, some split shot, hook and maggots. Not much to carry. Just cas
  8. Get ready fireman........ Ready......... PUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLL
  9. I'm sure we've all took guys out that's been in the pub in your company and they've heard you talk and thought hey, I'd enjoy that. You try to put them off, tell them your there all day mind whether its rain, sleet or snow..... They still want to go. Pick them up next morning for a spot of ferreting. They make more noise than a f***ing crowd, stamping the ground, rubbing there hands trying to get warm.... Start asking when are we going home after 11..... f**k that.
  10. nah hes not coming with me anywhere ! I'd be the same mate f**k that.
  11. It was me and those paddy hares are piss easy in walled in rush filled boggy fields and not worth the journey over to be honest f***ing hell fireman, you almost caused a riot in ole Ireland. It's made all the national press front pages..... Man caught poaching 16 days out of season!!!! Big news that and your right mate, the hares ain't worth the ferry money.
  12. Personally I wouldn't. If it was a young lad wanting to learn fair enough. Not some numpty with a passing interest I knew nothing about them.
  13. How has he got your number, do you know him?
  14. f**k it, I'll just make a walking stick catapult
  15. The woods already cut in the shape of a u with a handle bit if you know what I mean. I suppose what I'm asking, will any wood do?
  16. Aye guys lol, not sure if you understand. I've got a couple of bits of wood that are rough templates for a walking stick. Think one of them is ash. They look perfect size for a catapult but I'm not sure if the wood will be strong enough. They must be about an inch thick. This is all by memory, it's been easy 2 years since I laid eyes on them but I know I have them.
  17. The thing is gnash, that's fair enough for someone growing up in the city. The lad I was talking too is from Beauly. It's in the country mate and he still knew nothing about it, had no interest and no interest in teaching his kid. It's the way he was brought up I suppose.
  18. Pm me am address to send a donation mate.
  19. So...... Instead of these thickos having dogs killing there kids, you'd like to see them and similar allowed guns etc? Scary thought.
  20. I,ll be happy just to get it in the box at this stage me too, mine would need to be a skip Aye BPR but really my main question is, would a template of wood for a thumb stick be ok for a catapult? Or am I just being lazy I know the thought of me losing my front two teeth might raise a cheer but I'd rather avoid it
  21. Who the f**k cares I think their should be an Irish section on here, unmonitored, just for you guys
  22. It's the same attraction that people on here have to post on how many rabbits/others their bull x, slauki, coursing dog has caught. They think the dog rubbs off on them. Big numbers / big prey = great hunter. Big dog = big person. Deluded the lot of them. TC I think your spot on there mate. It always fascinated me how much respect is given to a guy who has supposedly a good lurcher. All of a sudden all the wannabes start name dropping they've been in their company to gain credibility as if it means anything we all like seeing a good dog work, I won't start kissing the owners boots though
  23. My concern is that the we will pay for the acts of the clinically stupid, not just financially, if these attacks keep happening legislation will come in that effects all dog owners, not just the dim ones. Its happened before and it will happen again, we live in a state with so many rules because of the idiotic minority. Gun laws, knife laws, rules around crossbows are there because of the few that you wouldnt trust with a pea shooter but we all pay the price. I just find it tragic when it comes to dogs, this country has a proud heritage with dogs, recorded from at least celtic times when our d
