    Why don't you think it's possible to get 100 moles off 52 acres ? If the area and surrounding land has had no control, then I think it would be possible to be round the 100 mark. I did a 1/2 acre lawn couple weeks back and got 15 in 3 visits.

    Spent the day helping keeper with feeding to day. In one of the pens there was a sick cock pheasant next to a feeder. I picked it up with no struggle from the bird. and straight away notice how thin and prominent the breast bone was. I put it out of its mysery as asked by keeper, and we then found gape worms down wind pipe after we did a postmortam. As you can imagine theres not a many birds now in the pen, but those that are, are now showing signs that they have gapes too and its first shoot day this saturday. So have any of you experinced this so late on, and do you treat them this late on

    Waiting for some stuff myself, and I know of a couple more. Web site been scaled down so orders cannot be taken and a message pops up before web page opens saying Pro Trapper is currently not taking orders, any outstanding orders will either be fullfilled or refunded..

    If there is evidence of shoot being there before, I would speak to the farmer and find out how it was run, you may get lucky and find it was his own shoot or may be put you in touch with a local keeper. To finance on your own to start up will cost a fair bit of cashfor fence posts, pen wire netting, drinkers, feeders, corn. will you have time to go daily and check on your birds, top up feeders, stop birds from straying off onto neighbouring land.     Barnett, have a look at killgerm courses, Ive just booked to go on safe use of pesticides, insect control, rodent control. A lot on here will advise you to gain experince for a couple of years with another company before going alone, and for me this was not possible. I started doing just mole control, and then other services by the use of live catch traps and spring traps. Now im getting asked more if I can do jobs which may require the use of poisons.

    Look in classified section, in beaters wanted or available. Shoots advertise on there, think theres one advertising now for next season which may be near to you.. You could also keep an I for shoots advertising pegs for next season and get in touch..

    It is spread from bird to bird by sneezing, and into the drinking water and can also be passed on through the egg.. You can treat it with a medication from the vets which you put into the drinking water.. I would change supplier next year, and have a good look round the game farm you intend to use, especially the laying pens..
