I couldn't care less about them or their culture/traditions,and definately don't watch all the shit on telly about them. as long as they're not hurting anyone let them live how they want.

you forgot about capital law an admiralty law they are all waved aside for commen law an the only man can slap a fine on is a commen law judge an if you havnt broke that law you cant be fined I know that I shouldn't get involved in this discussion, but I'm intrigued !! You are saying that ALL UK law is subservient to Common Law, and ONLY a "Common Law Judge", (whatever that may be), is the only person who can issue a fine ??? Then can I claim back the fines I've paid in various Magistrates Courts over the years, as, according to you, they , the Magistrates, wern't allowed to issue fines ?

If you don't like drugs don't take them,and educate your kids about the effects of taking (probably even more important to do that if you do take them) but at the end of the day no-one should have a right to tell anyone else what chemicals they can and cannot willingly ingest,so long as it doesn't directly effect anyone else.

that's an interesting post. but let me put it this way,all animals are a product of their genes and their environment,we have manipulated dogs in lots of ways,by altering their genetic codes through selective breeding. are you seriously saying the genetic codes of a dog cannot be altered in such a way that it becomes inclined to fight other dogs?

Our selection of what dogs bred doesn't necessarily have to mean the best were selected and mated in some controlled environment. if times were so hard that my families life was on the line I'd kill and eat any of my dogs that couldn't earn their keep.

why do they need a high prey drive to do their job? (that's a genuine question,i don't know anything about pheasant shooting) any mongrel will chase a rabbit or pheasant,a high prey drive means being committed and going through pain and exhaustion to catch its prey.

Don't see what that's got to do with anything. The point is, why would landowners WANT a healthier and stronger population on their land? They wouldn't. When dog men say thier dogs are better off going after the weak and older quarry for the 'greater good', what does that say about the faith they have in their dogs ability? Either way, there shouldn't be a problem in how hare are hunted, be it coursed or shot. maybe the that's the difference between shooters and dog men/women. I think half the people here get intimidated by big meat heads lol it's just a hobby that some people enjoy,it doesn't make it wrong or make them all insecure (people saying that need to look at themselves) body builders are also usually pretty fit.

f**k it,if people want to breed the arse out of their sick dogs let them. the educated and fairly intelligent people about will either know or soon learn not to go near the messed up show breeds and more so the irresponsible breeders and the problem can sort itself out. anything else (registries,licenses etc) is all about money and control,i guarantee it won't help the problems at hand.

tbh i didn't suggest it as a sensible option,just that it may work. but then it may not work,then you've got a 14 stone walking vets bill for 8 years.

get a break stick and learn how to use it,and walk away from where dick heads will be. I think some massive dog like a mastiff or great dane may deter some insecure aggressive dogs,but anything else will probably just wind them up more.
