If thats the case that these parties were involved at an early stage working together, why wasnt the Deer Management plan monitored and re adjusted during the plans progression ,and why is it the National Trust for Scotlands /Management are being singled out as not meeting the targets when its a joint game plan then if what you say is true. It dosent hold water if the SNH had been involved surely the game plan would be constantly under review and the required adjustments put into play would it not, you cant stand outside responsibility if your involved with its inception and planning or

http://www.scottishg...ar-lodge-fiasco It appears that there has been a lot of publicity in the past and comment from locals and employed keepers of the excessive numbers of deer culled by the National Trust for Scotland ,to protect the regeneration of the Caledonian Regeneration Program and the National Trust for Scotland Admit that the deer control should have been implemented earlier. http://www.scottishg...ts-stalker-quit There are only a few ways of controlling deer from causing damage to the environment one is by installing high enough fences to keep them off the other is by cu

It could just as well be Hazel as well, without the leaf profile it will be very hard to come to a positive identification i am afraid -
Personally Harry I am somewhat perplexed that he continues as a DSC2 accredited witness, not the behavior in my view of someone portraying further knowledge in deer control and management. but those are my own views I might add.

There was a program on North West Television on Tuesday night showing the wildlife team around Glasgow area trying to catch salmon netters and Deer poachers. They caught 3 individuals out in the early morning with high powered air rifles who they apprehended also confiscated a set net on one of the big salmon rivers, Some guy from Scottish National Heritage was assisting the police wild life team with high powered infra red binos and logging the whereabouts of roe deer family groups so they new where to spend most of there time to catch these individuals. Apparently the Roe deer aroun

The original postee asked a straight forward question, I answered it in a like minded manner factual with what is required by best practice, to be the correct and accepted way in keeping records. Davids remarks (Wireviz) only goes to show his small mindedness in trying to belittle a situation that he thinks that I am in by inferring i dont have a lot of stalking,(incorrectly I might add) I did until recently receive abusive PMs of him but blocked his antics ,but he thinks he can carry on with his remarks on an open forum. Eventually the admin team will feel his collar like they have on S

With that attitude Harry nothing will get achieved ,your opinion on the matter may very well turn out to be correct in its entirity. But we have a democratic process in this country and a means in the legislation to call for changes to be made in a proper manner. the system we have in place allows us to excercise that right. I for one intend to use that right because i feel an injustice was made and i will do my utmost in overturning the matter just because its my right to do so like it is yours not to.

how to make a ghillie suit for £20
Caprelous replied to 19powell90's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
Wearing drab clothing and making sure they dont get washed in ordinary washing powder but like natural soap flakes which reduces uv and stops making you stand out like a beacon, and stalking as slow as a possibly can ,and glassing every two or three steps, even behind me I find to be more than productive than being dressed like a yeti, but each to their own if it works for you what can you say. I bet it weighs a ton if it gets wet and russells like a bag of crisps cammo cotton for me or moleskin breeks everytime Your gillie suit is not for me but 10 out of ten for initiative.. -

Hello Geoff nice to see you have found us all Your correct of course no one could nick our towers although there is individuals around who could nick a saddle off a nightmare . Usually I am told that those that have managed to climb them suffer a nose bleed and have to take an oxygen bottle as the airs that thin up there. although you didnt suffer any side effects when watching that doe and kid did you

I am not really sure but the answer is best found here I would have thought. http://wiki.answers....white_are_there Bottom line on this regarding high seats is unless you construct a more permanent structure the likes of a timber tower secured by ground anchors you are more than likely to get it nicked. Any temporary structure like a high seat with a sitting frame on top secured to a tree will get stolen unless you install it and remove it in your presence which defeats the object of quiet approach so unless you have plenty of sponnies and are a trustful kind of person thinking that t

Ahhh I see its one of those invisable ladders thats been half hitched while your up it is it. Nothing like a structure secured to the floor on a more permanent basis though is it. I cant remember saying that i was brains of my outfit as you imply , perhaps you could direct me to the forementioned quote that you refer to, I thought there was only one person on here with an elongated proboscis I must be mistaken must be my age Harry

You mean like there isnt one in the piccy that would mean the ladder would need to be at a set height constantly to give the correct angle of repose and lashed which defeats the object of a portable high seat
