    Its very hard german steel Martin containing exceptional high carbon and chromium used in the making of Kruap cut throat razors and in the use of cutting tools on lathes and scrapers in the re boring of and remanufacturing of engines. Exceptionally hard to work an edge on but once an edge has been obtain by careful grinding and quenching on each pass the final edge after working up on a old timer schrade only requires gentle stropping to maintain its cutting edge. Well structure the question in a manner then that takes in the procedure for the different species of deer , your question related to Does and kids , If you had worded it different and included other species then each answer would have been different very ambiguous in its inference to say the least and the poll would need adapting as the answers given would not represent the full and true picture of procedure, also what is regarded as correct procedure by the Deer Initiative does not reflect the proceedure

    Recently a gentleman on another forum asked me why is it important for stalkers to be aware of the moon phases as generally speaking unless you have a night licience it would be pointless. I explained to him that it was important to be aware of that information as depending what phase the moon was at it either became beneficial or not as the case may be.     Anybody got any contacts at a garden center or nursery? I am after some end of season rose briars climbing variety preferred to plant out in a few areas on mt wildlife habitat program . must be cheap though .     I have found that the kids usually stand immediately after the initial shot for a short period of time ,just enough time in my view to also take out the other kids straight away very rarely do they leg it after the initial shot but when this situation has occurred they revisit the scene within 30 minutes to find the mother doe

    Are we talking recreational sportsman who may have shot a few or are we talking professional numbers game here as their is two answers. in the Respect to roe Management Best Practice would advise shoot the yearlings first and pick up the mother and other matriarch doe later as the initial shot the matriarch would leg it on report. The following is not regarded as best practice but carried out by the more competent.     I have had some stalking knifes over the years but this scraper mirror steels is something else hard as hell and holds an edge like i have never seen before. It appears to be the same steel as used on cut throat razors, once an edge is on it it only needs a quick work over with an old timer schrade. Just need the sheath for it now .
