  6. Cracking pics, and nice looking dogs.
  7. I know where you're coming from, but there is drug testing still in place in non-ped whippet racing. With regards to dogs dropping dead on the track, I've personally never seen this happen.
  8. Got some pics some where of a bitch out of the sooty sam lines that was mated to our Jack (Jack the Lad) I'll try to find them
  9. Good post cocker Had a laguna back in the early 60s, bred by Dr Hughes from Bolsover, Nr Chesterfield, I only used him for working, it took him until he was 2 yrs before he showed any interest in the bunnies, then when the penny dropped, he was a A1 rabbiting dog, he stood 23" tts. I eventually but him over a leggy staff x norwich terrier, and the offspring were bril ferreting dogs

  11. Got talking to man from Cumbria while we was on holiday at north berwick, who had one of Mr Platts greyhound x deerhounds, what a big beautiful bitch it was, infact we was chatting away on the sand dunes next to a wooded area, when one of my grews shoved a basil brush out and the deerhound x swept it up with ease and the owner was overjoyed for her first big kill
  12. Nice put together bitch, good luck, should turn out a cracking working dog.

  15. Its not a whippet though is it.The old boys i grew up around would never have tried to pass a near pure greyhound off as a non ped whippet. As I said earlier, some tracks up here, years ago, didn't care if your dog was a Whippet, Greyhound or Lurcher, as long as it fit in the trap. I, personaly, think the BWRA sold it's soul when it raised the wheight limit from 32lb to 55lb !! For gods sake, smaller Greyhounds have won the Waterloo Cup !! I think they should have kept the 32lb limit for all racing . That would have made people think twice about breeding 3/4 Greyhounds. If a dog made the
  16. exactly well said geoff, i'll try and get it back on track asking you a serious constructive question. we all know your non ped / grew bitches are top class, fast and fiery, whats your reasoning taking them to beddie blood. i personally as you know love the idea but your thoughts would be good cheers mate Well basically, I had them in the 70's and they were perfect for my type of mouching. Also I want something with the speed of a non-ped whippet, but with a coat.I know there's loads of other crosses I could use to get the coat, but Bedlington was top of my list Just keeping my finge
