  1. Checked him today and he seems to be getting better. One turd in the kennel and it was pretty solid. Then when I walked him he had a crap and it was pretty solid again. He had another 2 and it was a tiny bit sloppy and not much but better than it been like water before
  2. maggots all the way As said don't use pellet as they do not release their oils effectively
  3. Haha it will probably disintegrate in my hand next time i am out
  4. I personally think they are accurate. Every dig i have had always been bang on the spot and depth wise. I did notice that if i had my Iphone in my pocket it can cause some interference
  5. It was a bit of both tbh. When i checked on him yesterday it was a bit more solid but then on the walk it was like a little water fall from his arse lol. hes only had one day on the rice and chicken so i will check again today and see what he is like. I will remember not to feed him as much as i normally do I remember when our beagle had the runs the vet gave us a bag of dog food to put her on but it wasnt cheap stuff. Will see how he gets on and if no improvement i will take him to the vets and let them have a look at him.
  6. Went out with him yesterday and looked a lot better in the kennel. He had one crap and it was just about solid but when we were on a walk he had the shits again. This is only his second day with the rice and chicken so hopefully it should improve. There was no blood in it at all so hopefully that is a better sign. He is still drinking and running around like normal. Hes loving his food too so will give it another day or so and if no better then i will go to the vets
  7. Just out of interest if he does require tablets does anybody know what i will need and where i can get them from or is it a case of going to get my eyes ripped out at the vets? Cheers
  8. Yea i have given him some rice and chicken last night and he has eaten the lot when i checked on him this morning. Will have to see in a couple of days if its hardened up. As for going off his food somebody said the same and i guess it makes sense. That's why i started mixing tinned meat with it as i thought it was something new and different flavors so he wasn't having the same thing every night. But i now know to stay well clear of it
  9. Cheers Sweeney I will call in tomorrow after work and grab a bag of the 20. Cheaper than the postage fee. I have bought a whole cooked chicken from the supermarket and given him some of that with rice and a few biscuits. Tucked into the chicken straight away so will see how he gets on. Thanks for the advice appreciate it and I will keep clear from tinned meat
  10. As said before just ignore it and it will soon settle down. If you keep going to see it every time it crus it will never stop crying as it will think you will come to see it. Put some toys and clothes that smell of you or if you can get something it's mam had with her scent on that sometimes work. It will soon stop mate if you ignore it I was lucky with mine never heard a peep from him
  11. Had a look on Lawson's website looks decent. Is that gain food good? What's the difference between the gain 20 and 28? I do work the dog on a weekend with the ferrets and the odd night out on the lamp. Gets walked twice a day think that food will do?
  12. Thanks for the advice I will try Lawson's and give him some chicken with rice and egg for a few days and see what he is like
  13. Last time he went off his food he went so thin I nearly took him to the vets. Started to look like a RSPCA victim He might have started to eat after but I wasn't taking that chance lol
  14. Cheers guys will keep you posted hopefully he will be fine
  15. I will try him on some rice and egg. I honestly don't think its parvo as he's still his usual self and running around. I will keep him off the tinned meat from now on though. What do people feed there's on? Willing to try a different food but like I say he can be a fussy shit. I was thinking maybe something to add warm water too or something like that?
  16. He's had his jabs so can't see it being that. I will stop the tinned meat but he's a bloody picky eater. I will keep an eye on him and see if he improves. Like i say he's still running around and his normal self.
  17. Alright lads just after a bit of advice. Went for the dog today and there were 3 sloppy shits but no bloodin the kennel and it's not like him to shit in the kennel tbh. Checked his food bowl and he had eaten all the meat but left his biscuits. Took him out and he seemed fine running around Ect Got back home nearly and he squatted again. Not much came out but there was a small drop of blood by the looks of it. Got him back home and put some meat in his bowl and he started eating it. Not sure if I should take him to the vets or if it's just a bug. Not great timing after Xmas tbh
  18. As said above mate they will just learn it on their own. Once mine had seen a good few rabbits and had been out a few times with the ferrets he started marking up. Still makes me laugh when he stands pointing
  19. cheers will have a look now

  22. Hi all Might seem a bit of a stupid question but i have had my longnet a few weeks now and i am impressed with it. Considering its second hand i only paid £50 for 100yrd and the basket its it great condition. The poles are ok but I think it needs a few extra, so i am planning on getting new ones but i dont really know what i am doing when fitting them. I have been looking at the magnum poles and will probably go with them and get a full set of poles for it. Is there anybody that would be able to do a good job and fit them for me Co.Durham area. Cheers
