Thanks guys think I will get the collie cross then. Got a whippet at the minute and he's coming along nicely. Only used him for ferreting but going to try him on the lamp later in the year. Just looking for another dog to use with the ferrets mainly and maybe the lamp but not that fussed if its no good on a lamp.

Just been and spoken to the fella he's more than happy for me to take his dog out lol. Will keep them on the lead to start with and hopefully it will work.

Cheers will try speak to him next week and see what he says. If not I will have to try somebody else who can lend me their dog.

Yea I will go see that bloke where I live and ask if I can take his dog out for a walk with mine and have them in the garden together. Will just one dog be ok you think or will I need a couple?

Thanks mate. There is a fella where I live with a whippet and a saluki will give him a nock and see if I can pop them out for a walk and have them in my garden a couple times a week or something. Actually raging that this has made him like that as like I say no fault of mine just other stupid dogs attacking him :/ My brother has a beagle but I think that might just chase him lol

Cheers mate will have to try find somebody who has a nice natured dog. No fault of mine mate. Just had him out walking where I live on the lead and the first time the dog ran over and ripped his side open. Then a few months later the same dog again off the lead went for him but I managed to pick him up out the way. Then the 3rd time an Alsaition off the lead chased him so I just slipped him and he ran away. Nothing I could do as mine was on the lead, just other people been inconsiderate :/

Hi all, I have a pure whippet that is just over 15months. He's as you would expect very nice natured and looks like he will make a good ferreting dog like I wanted. The only problem I have is that he has been attacked 3 times by dogs off their leads and one attack ended up with me having a £190 vet bill :/ I took him to lowther and he is just so scared of other dogs it seems. My girlfriend took him in the ring and you would think he was beaten all the time. Just cowering and not a spring in his step. On his own he is fine, bouncy playful Ect but just need to sort him out with oth

Hi guys I have a BSA lightning .22 air rifle. Did have a carbon suppressor on it but snapped it. Took it to the gun shop and BSA no longer do the silencer with the grub screw that pushes over the barrel. He said I needed to get a threaded adaptor then I could just get the screw on silencer. Hi all I am after a whippet quick slip lead/collar not exactly sure of the name. It's the type that has a cord you pull and the collar drops free off the dog. Any ideas where I can get one from?

Hi guys I have a 1 year old whippet and need a little help. I have had him out the back end of last year ferreting and catching the odd rabbit. Seems to know what he is doing but getting him to retrieve rabbits is a bit if a problem. I have been doing some work throwing balls and toys when out walking with him and he will bring them back and gets a reward. Yesterday though he got a rabbit and he would bring it so far back then just stay with it and not get closer. After a while he eventually gave it. I then chucked it a few times and he brought it back??? Think he will eventually twi

Hi there I have 3 ferrets and for the past few months 2 of my ferrets have gone bald on the back of their necks. They seem fine in themselves but just wondered if any body knows why this is? My youngest ferret is fine? Thanks
