  2. He never said it was OK.anywhere in his post, he is speculating about reasons for it and stating some other stuff. I agree with a lot of it really,, the number of swans killed for food by eastern eupropeans far outnumber those shot by fukin little nobshits with cheapo airguns (put money it that they used an SMK) Ok RA maybe it was said the wrong way......i never ment to put it that way however it was obvious they were not killed for food as the carcass was left behind. It is plainly obvious that they did it for fun and as Tony has said Our laws are there for a reason no matter how
  3. Just had a quick look up on law and it seems that in scotland under certain circumstances they can be shot but elsewhere in uk it is illegal with a sentance of up to 6 years being a possibility......sorry for poor spelling
  4. Good on ya steve lad takes some nads to stand up on public forum and admit your wrong.....i dont doubt ya anyway mate im sure others feel the same buddy
  5. I was under the impression that shooting gulls is illegal?.....i could be wrong but im sure i have seen people being prosocuted for killing gulls here in north wales.
  6. I'm sorry mr mole but not matter what the swan population is you do not shoot them. Now dont get me wrong i know that in easten europe they eat them and i know that in germany they are fair game on thier general lisence....however in this country they are protected and whoever shoots them needs thier ass handing to them.......if you feel its ok to shoot a swan mr mole.....more so with a air rifle then your twisted because this method can only cause inhumane injurys to the bird....my opinion but im sick to death of people giving us decent shooters a bad name
  7. Me and tus went out last night rossy........we seen a total of 4 rabbits and got only 2....effin wind was blowing a gale with driving rain but atleast we didnt blank......if the wind drops just a little you will be in for a good night.....good luck mate

  14. Cheers Andy I've just spluttered red wine all over my bloody laptop   I already own a peerlesessly accurate .22 Weihrauch HW77 dream rifle.....BUT... I'd love another 77 with a Mauser inspired Stutzen stock and a LUGER 4-16x40mm scope with 30mm tube and German 4a reticle. That would be a thing of absolute beauty for me. Seems we have similar instincts Steve. The Diana 46 Stutzen is a pure beautiful rifle mate. I had one in my hands, brand new and offered for a knock-down £460 and I deliberated, lost sleep and agonised over it or the HW77. The pop-up breech w
  15. True fry....but this law is ment i believe to stop minors owning air rifle's without an adult keeping them secure.....i feel this is a good idea however you get some young lads and lasses who are gunsafe and know the do's and dont's so the actions of the few have made the actions of the many seem wrong.....look at the like's of brad on here.....the kids knows how to handle and look after a rifle but the law states that if he is to own one starting from 10th this month his rifle must be under the control of his parents and they must at all times have it secure this is unfair to him but i under
  16. I think the law states the rifles need to be in the control of an adult above 18 or 21 not to sure......so if your 15 your parents need to have them locked aways in thier gunsafe and the key must be in thier control
  17. Indeed im also one who secures his wep's and the one's who dont need to start securing them.......
  18. At the end of the day mate it HAS to effect us all.....its the law
  19. Outstanding mate.....if you want just enough for a pie then 3-4 birds a night is ideal and you could get them as the birds start comming into the roost before the majority head in......that way you can keep em sweet so to speak .........there is a post from week or two ago about the indexing mag mate have a scout and im sure you will sort it good luck with the pie hunt mate
  20. You will also find that permissions that have been lamped for a period of time will make the bunnys very lamp shy more so to white light........if you are going to lamp try diff filters so not to spook the bunnys.......on mine and tus's new permission we find the bug's have a serious issue with white light......if we use red filter they tend to squat and stay which as you are aware make for easy targets...but you can get green/blue and so on its a game of chance so t speak and good luck with it
  21. UPS are fine....however if it's a FAC as my mate found our the price was very very very high
