  9. Hey Gitano - Steve Cotter is one of the nicest most humble guys I have ever met...he's good fun and really down to earth... A good fitness benchmark with KBs is 24kg snatch tests - providing your technique and form is nailed down aim for 100 reps in 5 mins and work up to 200 reps in 10 minutes (if your form's poor you're not gonna make the latter and the amount of hand changes is up to you) The 200 in 10 minute set deserves respect and a self congratulatory pat on the back...it's a challenge... Some of the best rack up massive numbers - Jared Savik of the USA once knocked out 281 sna

  11. Just finished Green and Pleasant land...excellent...your copy arrive yet mate? Also just read The Great Game: The Life and Times of a Welsh Poacher by Harold Wyman...quite enjoyed that... I think no matter how well you know a subject - a wee sneaky curve ball - under all that 'black chair and darkness' pressure and you could forget your own name PDQ... I reckon I would score pretty highly on heavyweight boxing in the 1970s...
  12. John Holmes - a walking, talking, shagging inferiority complex....
  13. 50 minute set with a 32kg bell would be impossible - just couldn't be done Tomo...I train a diverse range of folk to be honest...retired women who love their little 'pink' 4kg 'bells to mixed martial artists who think anything not painted red isn't worth lifting... Steve Cotter IKFF President and all round good guy...fittest guy I have ever trained with...
  14. Dogs???Think you'd need to narrow it down a bit Socks...most folk have parameters set ie, such and such between 1850 and 1930 or for example Hunting Dogs of the British Isles...and such like... I would go for Porn Stars of the 1980s 'cause I musta watched every porno produced in that glorious decade long chugfest... I have been reading up and watching programmes on dogs since I was a baby mate ... I have 26 books on dogs and dog breeds .. f**k it I will go for dogs of the world lol ........ Dog of the World it is then... I'll stick to my porno specialism...

  16. Yep - it's all in the mind mate ha ha ha...seriously for a minute you need to forget the 32kg bells and get back to basics with 16kg bells and go for reps with technique try 10 minute sets with the 16s in long/short cycle and snatch then progress to 20kgs, 24kgs, 28kgs and so on and make sure you're using 'competition' grade bells as the old cast iron strongman style bells don't lend themselves to high rep girevoy training...good luck... And before you know it...this guy's amazing...
  17. really? I'm getting the warrior diet book, would you recommend anything else? not used to dieting like this at all. I take it it's worked very well for you? Kettlebells... have you done kettlersize borderscot ?? or are you just training with kettles. my wifes a kettlersize instructor,, instructs two classes a week,,i got to admit i havent done one of her classes , as i get to see the new routines each month,, and they look too brutal. for anyone that doesnt know what it is,,, basicly you hold a kettle bell for 50 mins without it ever touching the floor,, a
  18. f*****g hell max, the guy wants to lose a bit of weight not train for a triathlon. You wouldnt do that for a triathlon, Youd just practice swimming, Biking and running ........lol Max has hit that on the head, Id be interested in knowing how exactly Borderscot has followed kettlebells and the warrior diet for 5 years as Both have been the domain for elite athletes till about 3 years ago, If hes thinking of the spartan book or warrior cardio , Its a fairly new niche topic Here's exactly how it is mate been training with KBs since 2007 - qualified as an IKFF kett

  22. I work outside and am self employed dry stone waller/hedgelayer/molecatcher so I spend a lot of time with my dogs...I have 4 dogs and 5 kids and have never claimed benefits in my life...but I'm no better a dogman than someone who has never worked...likewise I know some pretty basic dogmen who have never struck a blow...I also work at home...so I am blessed that I can pick and choose and come and go as I like...and I do tend to frame things around my dogs as much as I can... I always think the constants with 'good' dogmen are consistency, dedication and an unstinting ability to understand d
