And for what it's worth I enjoyed Plummer's books. When I was a young laddie growing up Plummer, along with Walsh, Drabble, Sheardown, and some past authors including Lucas, Sparrow, Russell to name one or two provided a varied insight into the hunting and fieldsports world from a historical standpoint. To suggest Plummer was the only worthy author producing books of this sort, as John H seems to allude to, is silly.
