from memory robin eggs are creamy white with brown speckles,the nest doesn't look like a robins either.a merlin or hobby normally just have a few twigs,a scrape in the ground or on a rock face,quarry or old crows/magpie nest.but i don't have a clue what they are.pile of straw made to look like a nest and a few bantam eggs thrown in?

i've found that its very hard to get a bird to drink,but once they do they perk right up :tongue4: . here's what i do.cut a straw in half at an angle,then place the angled end of the straw in a cup of water,place your finger over the top of the straw.this will retain the water in the straw and you will be able to hydrate the bird by opening its beak and releasing the water down its throat. you may have to force feed it for a while as well,see how it goes.but get some water into it for sure.
