  1. In reply to your questions Coypu, there is only one way of fitting the sleeve as Steve Pope states in the instruction, the sleeve gap is at the opposite side of the cocking slot. So when you fit it you don't see the spring in a 97. The next answer is you have a spring guide at the thread end of the cylinder. This is the one longer of the guides, the short stubby guide is known as a tophat. In my experience it makes no difference where you put the delrin washer but I'd stick with the instructions from V-mach. Time for this geek to go fishing tonight then some springer action tomorrow
  2. Many thanks Simon. It would be a pleasure to let you shoot any of my springers mate. One of these days i might have the time to go to one of the meets and see what you think of the guns and if there is anything you think i might do to improve them. All the best Chris
  3. Cheers Moxy. It gets quite addictive at times. Atb Chris
  4. I'd hazard a guess at yes its made big to perhaps accommodate the difference in cylinder diameters. I fit mines onto the piston then tape the scraper ring onto the piston to stop the seal revolving then stick it in the lathe and apply gentle pressure on the sides of the seal with fine wet and dry. Doesn't take much, just a bit of trial and error. Save up for a V-glide they are things of beauty and brilliant performers. My .177 will piss over pcp's any day. For a springer its really easy to shoot apart from weighing nearly a stone scoped which doesnay put a solid built Scots loon like myse
  5. No they come with washers to adjust the power. My .22 hasn't any washers and is shooting 11 fpe. Lovely and smooth. My .177 97 has a V-glide fitted and is superbly accurate and smooth to shoot
  6. The V-mach kit helps a good bit in the 97. You will need to size the seal though. Cheers Chris
  7. How very true Saying that it takes a geek to know a geek Cheers Chris
  8. Hi folks. This is the final chapter on my fac that I have stripped several times and done lots of work to in a steep learning curve of more indepth tuning over the last 3 years. Here's something that might interest some of the tuners out there. I've stripped and cleaned out 3 separate cylinders and found each one to have exactly the same differences with internal bore diameters. We are talking between hundredths and thousandths of an inch which is enough to make exact fitting delrin buttons fitted to the piston run slightly inconsistently Before I started resizing the bore I could not ge
  9. Cool. Remember to chrono your gun mate.
  10. My 8 year olflad has an AA S200 which is perfect
  11. Yeah that all seams fine. Its unlikely to be ovalled. I couls sell you a whole trigger if you need one
  12. P.s. There is a cracking write up on the Weihrauch owners club in the spring section showing the dismantling, tune up and setting up of the rekord trigger. Chris
  13. Totally agree with all of the above. Pm me if you need anything as I have lots of spares for 80s & 97s. Only thing i aint got the now is a spring guide and .177 barrel. Plenty of everything else. I made shims from shim sheet. No need to add extra shims. The barrel pin takes a bit to tighten up. Every second hand i buy has a wiggly barrel. A pair of home made shims bisley gun grease and a good tighten up then fit the lock nut to hold in place. New piston seals always need to be sized. Don't polish the inside of the cylinder unless its corroded. A good glean with rags and acetone then a
  14. I want to point out that my earlier statement was me comparing it to Weihrauch. I reckon its worth the money and a good starter for someone. I'll be in Yorkshire at the end of next week so if its still for sale and you have open sights for it too I'll come and see it with a view to giving it to my sons Air Cadet Regiment for target practise. I'll be in touch. Chris.
  15. As above, required for a tuning project which I will do a pic diary on and post up for reference. Even an old basket case complete would do. Thanks Chris.
  16. Ah its a sh!t gun. That's how us savages up here spell its name
  17. Price drop to £23 posted for the 2 mags.
  18. Cheers SKot. I am in Aberdeen and happy to do a tune on any kind of spring gun. Pm me if interested. Chris
