  6. Certainly not direct from us, last litter was in 2001..But a friend in Sunderland has 100% our stuff, and he has mated a few bitches recently, This is what happens matie. 'When greed is the master honesty becomes the slave'..I remember a commercial deerhound x greyhound breeder in the `s buying in litters of any lurchers he could, and selling them off as genuine first crossers, pieds, whites all colours.. And as Brain Plummer wrote, Cavet emptor..I think thats how to spell it, Im a genuine Irish Georgie cross, so spelling is never going to be my strong point
  7. One thing about putting him to a bitch now, is that he hasnt proved himeslf as a worker, but, against that argument, there have been loads of dogs that have proved themselves in the field of work, or the show ring, that threw duds. Also, how many bull terriers and collies have killed 100 hares or 1000 rabbits, and these get constantly used for breeding lurchers. I have mainly kept bitches, but also the occaisional male, I get these into stud work as soon as I can..Lurchers a year, and my youngest ever male deerhound was lining bitches at 15 month..he proved himself as a worker after proving

Happy birthday JD, even if its not your official birthday, Im catching you up mate.
  12. In over 30 years Ive never seen a running dog that was too bigh to catch rabbits..But, 28 inches wouldnt be my ideal hight for a rabbiter, much prefer something around 23-24 inches, but not too light
  13. I always set targets of 100 rabbits before my (lurcher) pups were a year old..some did it, some didnt, but I was never disgruntled with the ones that didnt, as some of these late developers became really good dogs when grown
  14. Arrr, the land of maple syrup and canoes...Oh now I get it...Greenland
  15. I'm not very clued up on it either - but its a bit of the file thats attached to your picture, that gives all the info of when the pic was taken, what resolution, setting, focus etc etc...... Yip matie, thats about it..so, if you havent done anything to remove it, you wont have to do anything, it will be there..I always leave it on all my pics, as it may be of some use to others...
